Leave it to our Kay to take a scene that many of us would pass over as too mundane and turn it into an excellent composition of color and material contrast, from the pavement to the plants to the bricks. It just goes to show you that we should take nothing in our world for granted. Thanks Kay for this gentle reminder for me.

Looks like they were selling this year! I think I bought the purple ones right next to those yellow ones!

maen all! the flowers are loving this rainy spring around here. the roses are especially prolific. not to mention the lilies, which are water plants anyway.
