Ohhhh, Ian!!! That is the most beautiful photo! Looks like it'll be a beautiful jigsaw as well.
Where is it? (I'll be going to Southern/Mid Wales in September.)

Ian I wish I was there! It's beautiful.

How tranquil! I can picture myself sitting on a blanket on the bank with a a lovely picnic lunch and perhaps a bottle of wine and some good friends or even alone reading a good book.

Take care all and I hope you are having a wonderful day in your corner of our world.

Aimee :-)

One of my first watercolor paintings was of a scene very similar to this of an old bridge over the Usk River near Sennybridge except it had two arches, not one.

So peaceful looking.

Oh, Shiela, I'm so sorry that you will miss North Wales ... my favorite part! The castles and the rugged scenery are breathtaking ... and the people are some of the friendliest and most interesting I've ever encountered.

I'm amazed how green it is in that photo of Wales. The English settlers wives must have cried when they ended up in dry brown Australia.

maen all! could be one of the 100 or so(all different) bridges in central park, nyc. there was another deadly crane collapse in the city today. those cranes were designed to be secured in elevator shafts yet they continue to allow big bucks contractors to simply attach them to the outside of the structures.idiots!!

Good afternoon to all! Ah! The photo you allowed Angie to animate on her page. Beautiful shot Ian!

Thanks, Ian! Lovely shot. Did you do any bird watching or other quiet/relaxing activities, or just photo composition while you were there? I love to wonder about what was going on before, during, and after a photo was taken. I can just about hear that water trickling over the rocks now. Or, maybe it's just the wind in the trees...

I totally agree, Judy.
Happily, I have been to north Wales on two other trips.

That is one of the prettiest spots I've ever seen. I want to BE there!
Just lovely, Ian.

Shiela, it was taken in the village of Abergynolwyn in Mid Wales. It is on the B4405 which runs inland from Twywn on the coast. If you intend to drive it take care because it is a narrow road, but the scenery is quite spectacular and makes it all worthwhile.

Junebug_Jenny, we were there More...

I think this is an appropriate place to mention that I am gradually severing my ties with Sudoku and Jigsaws. In the past few weeks I have confined my comments to answering questions about my photos.
But now Anne and I are about to start touring in our wonderful motorhome. Next week we go More...
31/May/08 5:44 AM

Ian - that just means lots of new photo's when you return, or is this a permanent touring quest?
31/May/08 7:15 AM
 |  |

Grass-hopper, it is by no means a permanent change - like driving around Australia - yet. But it is still early days and we haven't quite decided yet how we are going to spend our time.

Ian, I haven't been on here long, but I'm gonna miss ya. I hope my big mouth hasn't influenced your decision.
On the other hand (I even argue with myself), have a blast!!!

Ian: Good on ya, mate. Have a grand time and check in when you can. We look forward to your return to these pages. Bring lots of pics, ok?
