Morning all! Beautiful day here - nice and cool and really no hint of the 95 degrees to come. Taking my boy in to the doctor this morning -he has a cellulitis in his index finger. Swollen to twice the size of its neighbour, hot, sore.... No known cause. Just big and discoloured and a little scary looking. Life is never boring with 6 kids!! :-) 31/Jul/07 12:32 AM |  |
 Sunsets are universal. 31/Jul/07 12:33 AM |  |

how true Eve - I find peace in these wonderful colors - I also love the time when it gets very quiet and the sky is darken before a storm... the quiet before the storm - how true. Mary 31/Jul/07 5:18 AM |  |
I think it is one of mine - without the caption. I called it 'Sunrise over Bronte'. I stayed the night in my kids flat on my way to welcome home my lovely bride from her trip to UK to see her ageing mother. I woke early to see this wonderful sunrise. 31/Jul/07 5:25 AM |  |
Nice sunset. Good luck, Mum06 - could be something as simple as a fibre that crept into a little cut - must be sore though. 31/Jul/07 5:30 AM |  |
 Good one, Ian - you're up early - again!! 31/Jul/07 5:30 AM |  |
'The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.' - John Muir (1838-1914) Scottish-born American Naturalist, Writer 31/Jul/07 8:58 AM |  |
4.44 great morning snap mum06 surely is never dull with a house full of kids. good luck at the doctors. 31/Jul/07 9:19 AM |  |

Amazing colours. I don't see many sunrises, but this one would have made it worth getting up early. 31/Jul/07 9:50 AM |  |
I see a lot of sunrises and that one is still spectacular!!! Good take Ian! Lovely words Tree Sheila!! Not sure if they are meant to put us in our place as nonentities in the grand scheme of things, or to give us hope that there is always a new tomorrow. I think I'll take the latter! 31/Jul/07 11:15 AM |  |
Wonderful Sunrise realy IAN .Very beautiful picture and shot Thank You. 31/Jul/07 11:22 AM |  |
6:18 That's quite a vivid coloured sky. Well done for capturing it, Ian, if it is one of yours. 31/Jul/07 11:29 AM |  |

Cool beans, maEn! Loverly sunset. 31/Jul/07 2:16 PM |  |
Thanks for the inspiring words, TREE SHEILA. The ''John Muir Trail'' passes only a few miles from our cabin here in the mountains, and I have hiked several sections of it. This area was his stomping grounds, and I feel the same way about it as he did! What a glorious world in which we live! 31/Jul/07 2:40 PM |  |
5.12 No caption needed, magnificent.Mumo6, from mum04, you are so right! Never a dull moment. Hopefully tomorrow, you will let us know how he is. 31/Jul/07 4:42 PM |  |
I thought those words of John Muir so appropriate to our group. We are so scattered around the world yet we see and love the same things. Our little addiction has united us with a genuine fond regard for our fellow Sudokuists. You can see it in all the welcome messages and the lighthearted banter. It makes my day. (Sorry...bit heavy!) 31/Jul/07 4:55 PM |  |
5:37. This is very, very similar to one I posted on the hard level a while ago (it hasn't appeared yet). Great shot Ian. 31/Jul/07 8:49 PM |  |
Interesting. I thought I had switched over to the hard puzzle so used 'possibilities' and ended up getting 4:45, over 30 seconds faster! 31/Jul/07 8:55 PM |  |
