Beautiful shot! I wonder what the fish was thinking? There he was, swimming around in his own world of water, then all of a sudden - snatch! Some claws grab him and take him away! The things horror movies are made of!

maen all! looks like a sockeye salmon(red color) being taken for eats. here on the upper hudson the eagles are more carrion eaters or bullies taking smaller hawk and osprey catches. a few years ago i noticed one landing over and over on an island i knew had no aerie. i boated there and found a ten point buck that was either wounded or winter-kill he was feeding on. that rack is on my wall now.

Magnificent bird, the shot captures the thrill! It really added to my good feeling as I have only recently started sudoku & this was the first medium that I solved not using the check button at all.
