In form and feature, face and limb,
I grew so like my brother,
That folks got taking me for him,
And each for one another.
It puzzled all our kith and kin,
It reached an awful pitch;
For one of us was born a twin,
Yet not a soul knew which.
 |  |

One day (to make the matter worse),
Before our names were fixed,
As we were being wash'd by nurse
We got completely mixed;
And thus, you see, by Fate's decree,
(Or rather nurse's whim),
My brother John got christened me,
And I got christened him.
 |  |
This fatal likeness even dogg'd
My footsteps when at school,
And I was always getting flogg'd,
For John turned out a fool.
I put this question hopelessly
To every one I knew --
What would you do, if you were me,
To prove that you were you?
 |  |

Our close resemblance turned the tide
Of my domestic life;
For somehow my intended bride
Became my brother's wife.
In short, year after year the same
Absurd mistakes went on;
And when I died -- the neighbors came
And buried brother John!

ship looks sad being in port
good Maen after the pairs or twins
 |  |
when the first twins were born , they were named Peter and Repeater.
Then again the twins but this time they were girls. So they were named Kate and duplicate.
The when third time two twins again came then the tired couple named them as Max and Climax.

Skipped the easy - I'll do it later!

5:24 Good for me. Hi to all.

Query of the Day:

Can it be cloudy and foggy at the same time?
 |  |

I do believe it can be foggy and cloudy at the same time. After all, isn't that what fog is, a low lying cloud?
 |  |

5:15. Good Maen to all (especially Diane from Sydney). Lots of snow this morning.
 |  |

The roll was halted suddenly by a HARD wall.
 |  |
Sorry, Hugh--maybe I jinxed you. Having smacked up hard against that wall myself (frequently, I may add), I send heartfelt condolences! Another day, another puzzle ...

Took this when in Chicago - Navy Pier July 2004?
They run tours on Lake Michigan, beautiful ship.
Saw Tall ships there, I believe in 2003. Haven't seen any sailing vessels on the Amazon while down here. Don't know why since the river at Manaus is enormous when it splits in Rio Negro and Rio More...
 |  |
3:38... Beautiful day here in the great Southern USA. Not a cloud in the sky... windy 46 degrees.

Good mAen all!!
