Just for fun ... I checked my Sibley Guide to Birds ... factored in the variables of year-round residence in Oklahoma, red head, and white bars on the back ... Red-bellied Woodpecker, Sue?? (Yes, Bev ... looks just like a flicker but with more red on the head!)

Oh!!!! The dreaded ice-storms! (God's Crystal Chandeliers!) They are so beautiful but so damaging. I always try to fill containers with water when they are predicted because I know we will lose our power!

maen all! that type of scenery is only a few months off in these parts...would liked to have stepped into that scene with the heat and humidity this passed week...nice and dry today about 80 degrees!

Finally got here today. Yes, the red dot is a red bellied woodpecker.
We have 5 different woodpeckers come to the yard, Downey, Hairy, Redbellied, Red Headed & Pileated. We also have Yellow-shafted Flickers.
