maen all! this victorian style is quite popular in these parts. from here to the farm upstate i pass at least 20 of them, widow watches and all. most of them have been returned to their original state. really nice houses inside and out. as a kid one of our clubhouses was an abandoned one on the palisades. a high-rise sits there now.

Is there a reason that this picture was used so close to Mother's Day?

The movie 'Psycho' was based on the life of Ed Gein, who was born and raised less than 60 miles from me. One of my best friend's mother used to do dishes for his mother when the two children were younger. (about 70 years ago). The original house was burned to the ground, and when they finally put a headstone on his grave about 15 years ago it was promptly stolen.
