Ame, if you have not heard enough, our neighbors to the North use Zed; I spent 3 years in London, Ontario, and 5 years later, still find myself saying A to Zed.

Judy we never sang that song here when I was growing up (not sure about now but my children didn't either).

For those of you who don't know that ABC song, it is sung to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".

Yes, the "zed" wreaks havoc with the rhyme in the ABC song, Judy, but then again, you wouldn't want to hear me sing it anyway (or any other song, for that matter). Generally, for the purposes of getting the song correct, most Canadians employ poetic license and pronounce "z" as "zee", but with great consternation!
