I left this morning to play cards wearing a jacket. I came home this afternoon sans jacket. It is 70 degrees right now. I have just been around the house opening windows.

Chilly and overcast this morning. As the day went on, the sun tried several times to make a showing, but without much enthusiasm.

I don't think the ;puzzle was too easy, but it was certainly a very enjoyable one. Because of my advanced age some of the questions were contemporary for me, while for others they'd be historical. Keep up the good work Arachnid and puzzlers watch out for tomorrow's Out and In puzzle. I think it is a less challenging one with only the two word response likely to take some time.

New CEO There was a new CEO at a company who decided to fire all of the slackers, and when he gets done with that, he finds a dude leaning on his desk. He thinks 'What the #$%#@ is he doing!?' So he walks up to the guy and says 'What the #$%#@ are you doing!?' The guy says 'I'm waiting to get More...

Young Woman In a train compartment, there are 3 men and a young woman. The four passengers join in conversation, which very soon turns to the erotic. Then, the young woman proposes, 'If each of you will give me $1.00, I will show you my legs.' The men, charmed by this young college girl, all pull a More...

Our trip is looking dodgy at the moment. Supposedly Seattle is an epicentre and that's where our cruise starts. Don't fancy floating around for days whilst confined to cabin (did enough of that years ago). We are currently going back via England and were going to see my 100 year More...

Since Arachnid is the only one who mentioned the virus thus far may I assume that it is not affecting the southern hemisphere as much as it is here in the northern hemisphere? I see by the map that there are cases in Australia and South America but is the warm weather helping at all? Can we look forward to a decrease when spring comes? Please reply.

Hi Dot Com. Whilst the virus has certainly not hit us as bad as, say, Italy it is causing havoc here on both a financial and medical basis. Australia is a large but sparsely populated country that is getting more and more positive tests each day. In WA for example we have set up three special More...

DT has the advantage that very few people have been tested, so naturally few have been found positive for COVID-19. He has the innocent audacity to say right out that he doesn't want a cruise ship to dock because then more people with the virus will be on US soil! He cares about 'the numbers' only, not the health of the people on board.
