Todays Handy Hint
Do NOT wear crampons on wooden floors.

I got the DVD - season 7 of the show 24 from the library. I watch it all at once, pretty good, but I can never get over that their cell phones are always fully charged - as it seems when I go to use mine, it's always low battery ! Also, they never seem to eat - just run, run, run, I'm sure if I died at one point of the day, I would ot be at my best the remainer of the day.

Heidi & Jane, I am so jealous! I'm too far away from the sea to collect shells. So, I collect rocks! Plenty of those around here and most places we've visited, but somehow shells seem more like a holiday than rocks!

I try to collect rocks, Shiela, mine are called amethyst, agate, emerald; diamonds....so if you have any spares feel free to send them to me.

Overcast here today, good for getting out in the garden and clipping all the foliage that grew madly while we were away. Can hardly find a path to the back door. The three cats have been stalking me from room to room, trying to make sure I never go away again.

Shiela..... Kentucky is near the sea?????
I haven't been able to dive for shells in 27 years, and miss it something fierce. I may have to make this an annual trip. How about coming next year?

all! Heidi, I'm a shell collector, too! I keep telling myself when we go to Fripp Island that I really don't need to keep picking up MORE shells every time I walk on the beach, but somehow I can't keep from doing it. Our best shelling & snorkeling was done during our time in Puerto Rico (1983-1986).

Heidi - next year, I think we need to go on a Caribbean cruise. I've always wanted to do it, but hubby refuses!!! Back in our market research biz days, we spent time in several of the Caribbean islands, and one of the treasures we brought back was a huge (14" diameter) brain coral that we More...

Kathy - we were in PR in 1976, but I wasn't into shelling then! Won a bunch of $ at the casino at the Caribe Hilton tho!!

Mine was done on off a little island called Tortuga, off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. I found some fabulous specimens of Cowries, Murexes and Olives.

I've collected a lot of exotic shells on Sanibel Island, FL. I have huge boxes of them in the storage shed that I haven't even unpacked since we moved here 5 years ago! One of these days I'll do something with them...
