I was missing my son this weekend, who is away from home. Living with a moody 16 year old and an moody husband, I was craving some time with my son who also enjoys some of the things I enjoy. Well, he called last night and we should be home about 4 weeks over the upcoming months --- oh, be careful of the things you wish for...

Hello Judy - haven't you ever heard of the song;
Six white Boomers, Snow white Boomers
racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun
Six white Boomers, Snow white Boomers
on his Australian run!
Whoops, I think I've missed some words out there but I'm very tired and on my way to bed.

Anne - don't go away until you tell us what a boomer is ...

Plum - it's a large male kangaroo.
The song is an Aussie legend one by an ex-Perth singer and entertainer by the name of Rolf Harris who now lives in England.

Monday over here!

Thanks, Anne, for the explanation of "boomer". Boomers over here is a miniature golf/video game palace/go kart track/laser tag amusement center! And there's an inhouse McDonald's, too!

Thanks, Anne. Vici's mention of her 10th causes me to ask: What can people on a budget do to celebrate a big anniversary milestone? I have one coming up and it's gonna zip by without anything "big" unless I get creative.

Zeke is fine, Jane ... for asking! Our newest grandson is three weeks old today, and growing like a weed. He seems to smile, but it's probably just what everybody says it is ...

Plum - my hubby and I will celebrate our 40th next summer, and I'm thinking of having a big picnic bash at Jekyll Island. They have lots of picnic pavillions and even screened kitchens (to keep the flies at bay). The picnic area is a short walk to the beach, so we can swim, play volleyball and go More...

I'm back after a long hiatus. Haven't been lurking, just busy. Got divorced, started a master's program and am having minor, out-paitent surgery today. Have missed solving puzzles and being in the friendliest, most supportive environment online that I know of.
