Top of Page Two. There is a bit of a tussle going on in OZ at the moment over people being elected to parliament though they have dual citizenship. This is banned in our constitution. Perhaps someone could discover that the Donald was born outside the US. Wouldn't that be ironic.

Peter had better behave himself or I'll barrack for the Cats at the weekend and ensure they lose. HEY a CP.

It is probably time to go back to my book. It is about Weary Dunlop, an Australian hero.

But I had better claim 44 before I go. I understand that 44 is twice the number of letters in the Hebrew alphabet. Sarah will let me know if I am wrong.

Wombat, do you know why the Diggers called him Weary?

No I don't Peter, but it is probably to do with how energetic he was, The typical Aussie thong of calling a red head Blue, or a tall person shorty. I can check on it if you want to know.

Back from Melbourne. Our grandson's team won their U/15 Aussie football final against a team that had not lost a game all season. A bit of a ruckus at the end of the game as the other team were not very happy.
I came home exhausted. Had a treatment today but have to have another blood transfusion next week as my red cells are too low.
Wombat, never to old!

Mate, typical Aussie Digger logic.

Dunlop = tyres = tired= Weary.

We're all with you on this journey.

It's not age, Wombat. It's Mrs Wombat's driving. You know she'd run you over on her way to Braidwood if she ever caught you straying.

A line of latitude that produces the likes of Canuk Greg and Peter ...

I'd pay to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

The heavy dawn rainclouds have cleared off and now the sky is a beautiful blue. Birds are singing and chirping. Oh, how I love summer! A couple morning hours in the park each day in August is a delightful dividend of signing up Skye for driving classes.

Speaking of Skye and driving, she drove this morning in the rain from our house to her class. First time I've driven with her on a public road. She did pretty well. I had to urge her a few times to try to get above 30-35 miles per hour. And it did occur to me that we were close enough to the More...

Here is 55 and so I'll keep going so I can land on this double digit post.

And I'll jump onto 56, which is how old I am. I'm actually old enough to be Skye's grandma as I had her just before my 39th birthday. She was - and is - such a blessing!

Wombat - a friend gave me the Weary Dunlop books years ago but I can't remember if I ever got around to reading it. I'm sure I still have it.

Yes, 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. Several do double or triple duty, but otoh there are duplicates. Two letters sound like T, two (or three, depending on cultural sound shifts) like S. There are also two that can sound like V, one of which is also O or U and the other is also B. There are More...
