We finally have sunshine today! No outdoor photos of the graduate because of the rain, but I put a couple on my page that were taken inside. It was a great day.

After reading Arachnid's post about the teenage arsonists, all I can think is what kind of sicko does that? I hope they throw the book at them. Absolutely horrendous behavior. They need to be forced to do clean up and retrieval with families who lost their homes to the fires. Learn the consequences of their stupid actions.

You know, Kathy, I agree with you. Those arsonists should be placed in probation for a long time (until they're into their thirties), be forced to see and help those they hurt badly and be forced to go hunting for the missing and be traumatized by the corpses (with the message - you did this). And their parents as well, hopefully they'll get counseling and training to be better parents.

Mexican Oysters

A big Texan stopped at a local restaurant following a day roaming around in Mexico. While sipping his tequila, he noticed a sizzling, scrumptious looking platter being served at the next table. Not only did it look good, the smell was wonderful. He asked the waiter, 'What More...

I laughed out loud reading DoA's kale joke and sent it to some foodies I know. I wonder if they will laugh.... or think I am an idiot.

There was a Tough today, but maybe it showed up late, judging by the comments, first one at almost noon. Yesterday's is still AWOL.

Had to take Tara to the vet today. Yesterday she was clipped by another dog as she was running up the beach. Result ten stitches in a flank wound. She is home now a little under the weather and my wallet is a lot lighter.

I can sympathize with that Peter. A couple of years ago my daughter's cat was bitten by a snake. This was on New Years day and none of the vets in town were open and the nearest was 70 kms away. $3000 later the cat is still going well but daughter is threatening to put it down as its peeing in the house. Needless to say I'm against that.

Whilst there is much to be angry about the fire I think the positive is that so far of the 5000+ hectares burnt out only one house has been lost and no loss of life. I sympathise with this one homeowner. When our friends can get back to their home in TR we will find out if our caravan survived. If not, the worst case scenario is that we buy another. Well done the firies

Going out to a Quiz Night later with friends. A bit of mental stimulus plus a complete change. How many will I get right? If it's like wombat's puzzle not many

It's a shame Peter that Tara suffered another dogs aggression. they did stop, exchange information and offer to pay didn't they? Of course they did

A cooling ale is in order (or any order as long as it's cold). Glass of Pinelli wines to your taste or a cold Jim Beam or a Crown Lager off the top shelf
