Hiccup! Hi CynB! Suzy gave me the idea of grabbing the bottle of shoshu but unfortunately tomorrow's a school day and around 40 third graders you don't dare have a hangover!

Hey Mamacita, it's great to have you back even though Europe could have enjoyed a lot longer. I'm sure Sully missed you dearly! How romantic of him to have a celebration waiting you!

Peace Train on YouTube to go with a new photo.

It is rather late. I have been working on my niece's (my cousin daughter would be my niece, Wouldn't she?) wedding photos. Not much time for much more.

My dear CynB, my parents are doing as well as can be expected. Mom is adjusting to the nursing home and is actually looking better. My dad is carrying on with a lot of help from me and my brothers. We were trying to manage him so that he can retain his independence longer. Really need to have a caregiver to be there while we're working.

Sue!
Hannah! If you were a birthday present for your Mom Gail, does that mean it is also her birthday ..or...er... something else.

Actually coming on this site has saved my sanity, I can get out of my problems and have fun with the sudoku and my friends. I know my problems don't go but when I return to reality they're not as bad as I perceived them before going on-line.

Shosho, you sound just like me a couple of months ago with my parents - wishing you well, I know how that is.

Mary, you're still alive and coherent. That's good, I've got hope that things will get better!

Hang in there, Shosho, it will get better.

Sarah Beth it was Gail's birthday yesterday. Don't think I'd enjoy my birthday if I was in labour, no matter how beautiful the bundles was!
Nal, your cousin's daughter would be you 1st cousin once removed. Your kids & your cousins daughter would be 2nd cousins!

Hi Shosho - so many of us on this site have had to deal with or are currently going through dealing with the health and welfare of our elderly parents, so we all understand. We understand the sorrow and we understand that feeling of finally having to face the reality of what's happening to our More...

CynB - a mad scientist / self portrait (of course!)

CynB, just read the comment above (to Shosho) - couldn't agree more. It is hard to watch them age and struggle with their health. Love em while you can.

Just to lighten the tone -
A joke about Politicians

Two Crocodiles were sitting at the side of the Yarra river (or any river anywhere in the world!)
The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said,
"I can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same More...

Off to buy some plants for our new vegie garden in a bathtub! (Hubby comes up with brilliant ideas - but I told him we are NOT growing radishes!)

CynB, I love those chickens of yours! They have me laughing just looking at them! Anyone have a smilie that shows some cartoon character rolling on the floor with laughter for me? I sure could use one!

Hi deejay52 - Any friend of Anne's is a friend of ours. Sorry I haven't welcomed you earlier!

Enjoy!

Yes, Judy, we do have a bathtub IN the bathroom.
Blame hubby - his idea, not mine.
Actually, he's planted lettuce, carrots and beans in it - so I will let you know if they grow and produce. This is his small attempt to make us self-sufficient - have to give him a pat on the back for that.

Shosho - the chickens were especially for you - to cheer you up!
16/Apr/08 4:41 PM

Hey Cyn, be sure to keep your chooks out of the bathtub!

Hi Broni, I was just thinking you'd been quiet today. Work nearly finished?
16/Apr/08 4:45 PM
 |  |

I suppose everyone has a vision of me living in an old tumbledown shack, with chooks at my bare feet and bathtubs all around. It's not quite like that, really! (For one thing there are no REAL chooks - ughhhhhh!)
16/Apr/08 4:49 PM
 |  |

Hi Cyn, yeah nearly finished, I am doing so many boring jobs just to keep busy! Sorting my sox draw would be more fun! At least I am taking next Wed, Thur and Fri off, cannot wait for the get together!

Do you think you'll need 2 more days to get over Wednesday's gathering?
16/Apr/08 4:50 PM
 |  |

Maybe Cyn, but Friday is Anzac day so thought no use going back to work for one day. Yeee Haaa!
16/Apr/08 4:52 PM

Re - my message to Judy - we have a bathtub in the bathroom and one in the back garden (with vegies in it). The one in the bathroon is for baths! OK?
