I'll let you know Mamacita. Tonight I'm just doing plain old beefburgers. Steve's been unwell and not eating for about a week but that is what he fancies tonight.

GannieMo - Check out my recipe in the cookbook (under "Main Dishes - Pork") for the baby back ribs. I use a home-made rub, but you could use your high-falutin' store bought brand, and I'm sure it would be delish!

And speaking of the Sudokudos cookbook, it has been updated. Edition #3 is now on my page. Check it out! We're up to 77 pages now!

What a wonderful looking old building.
That 'rub' sounds rather nice GannieMo. We might all be over for that BBQ.

Shiela, we are drying out slowly but surely. Will be gone for a couple days, not that it would be noticable, so don't party too hard on my page while I'm gone. Heading out tonight and will see the damage down south firsthand. Wish me luck, as some of the roads I normally take are closed and rerouted...

Angie, two days of violent storms here in Ottawa as well. Haven't I asked you folks before to keep this bad weather south of the border. Free trade is one thing, but this is ridiculous!

There was an old country sheriff who always said, "It could have been worse." No matter what happened, the old sheriff always had the same answer: "It could have been worse."
One day, two deputies in the sheriff's office answered an emergency call at a farmhouse. When they More...

Mo...Sure hope Steve will feel better after the feed bag tonight....and I will await your page before I fly away....seems you will have a full house if you decide to cook out...the deal should include helping you cleanout the snake ridden shed, I of course will be exempt since I thought of the solution.....

GannieMo... You fly me out there and I'll happily clean out the snake infested shed. Unfortunately, the Feds won't let me keep the snakes. Drat .

I cannot believe how many people out there are afraid of snakes. They do a LOT to keep us healthy and safe, by eating disease infested rodents and birds.

I'll help Heidi with the shed. I like snakes, too.

I have a very healthy 'keep your distance' attitude to snakes! So many of our snakes are venemous, but most people rarely encounter them. (Farmers & bushies being the exception!) Snakes don't really bother me. Spiders on the other hand........!

Count me out, I DO NOT like snakes!!

I've already got a snake out of a shed - my River neighbour's chook shed! It got in there in January this year & frightened the chooks - wanted their eggs! He was away & the person who was looking after the hens didn't like snakes, with my husbands help I got the python in a bag & we took it into the bush & let it go!!!!
17/Jun/08 8:49 AM

I don't particularly LIKE spiders, but I am the only one here who will deal with them, so send me the ticket and I'll come and deal with your spiders Mo!

I have enough varments around here to deal with. Not fond of snakes, rodents, spiders, small "cuddlies" (like skunks, racoons, opossom, armadillos, porcupines, weasels....) You can keep them all to yourself. I do like deer, elk, moose....but, not fond of large feline in the wild & More...

Susan - nice to see you posting. How is your Mum?
I know the light you mean - my brother bought one for my parents while they were still living in their own home. I asked him more recently where he got it from but he was unsure - he thought either a hardware store or a lighting store. I've looked unsuccessfully in Bunnings.
