Shosho;
i have always beeen interested in how - in English and even more in Japanese - the names of colours are often related to type natural objects -
especially fruits.
Oranges are orange
Olives are olive
Worms are vermillion
Tangerines are tangerine
Kaki are kaki-iro
etc

Good Maen, all! Rayray, I love your Christmas poem. Could I please have your permission to print copies of it as favors for my guests at a dinner party Saturday? As you may recall, I did that with your 2007 Christmas poem, and our friends were very appreciative.

Oops, the wee one knows I am on the computer, must run.
Thanks again.
