Listening to all of you lament that your sliding days are long past makes me chuckle. I was at one of our local parks recently when a somewhat ''healthy and well-padded'' mother decided to plunge down a slide like this with her daughter. These slides have a tight turn about half-way down, and she More...

A rather strange looking Tulip for my avatar.

I've changed my Youtube offering to another piece by LAGQ, Pachelbel's 'Loose' Canon. They have a lot of fun playing this one.

I was hoping to catch you on the site, HUGH, as I've been saving something just for you! A Babylonian Proverb:

''The gods do not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent in fishing.''

Good thing, huh?

A caring heart, a listening ear,
A thoughtful word, a gentle tear

Keith, the LAGQ Loose Canon (on your home page) is just great! I don't know these guys. Are L A G and Q their initials? Where are they from?

The fun on their faces makes me think of Barachois [ehhh, is that with an 'e'?] -a now retired family group from Acadia/PEI in Canada. They play More...

2:23 Hi to all.

Thought for the Day:

You have to do your own growing no matter how tall your grandfather was.

joni, LAGQ stands for Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. They are each classical guitarists in their own right that hit it off together and formed a group. I love their music. They so obviously have a great time together.

Good mAen
Thank you for the birthday greeting. I'm enjoying a warm sunny day and feel like the girl in the picture. The birds sang to me on my morning walk - which turned into a 6 mile hike. Have a good one everyone everythere. House work can wait until tommorrow :)

Thnx, Keith. I'd just been to your page and -lo and behold, there was the info on these fellas. I will surely check that out as I'd like to try some of their recordings. I think having fun is part of the secret of what makes a group really great.
Augh, who are the Irish guys who now have been performing for decades?

joni, I went to Youtube and did a search for Barachois. One of the items that came up was titled ''TOZIKALPROD ET BENJAM AU BARACHOIS LE 22/10/06'' Would that be the group you were refering to?

Good Tuesday Maen, all!

To answer my own question, it's The Chieftains. Oo are they fun, and i was reminded of them as Keith said the guitarists were all classical....

The harpist of the C's was wonderfully well trained and other members of the group as well, yet as a group they are best known for their More...
