I broke my arm while in Hawaii - doing housework!! Well, ok, I was cleaning the pool! But we had 30 people coming for dinner, so I didn't go to the hospital, just kep on keeping on, telling myself it couldn't be broken!! By the end of the night I was in lots of pain.

Hello to those still up and those starting their days. Any other Midwesterners feel the "Big" Quake? What an odd wake up call!

Hope everyone is OK. Can you tell us more?

There was a 5.2 mag earthquake centered in Illinois around 4:30 this morning. That's not "California big", but sure something for around here. It was enough to wake most people up. There haven't been any injuries that I know of, and only minor building/bridge damage. Certainly a bit of excitement to start the day!

As a long-time St. Louisan, I felt three earthquakes there in the past. The first was when I was in 3rd grade. It came a few minutes after bedtime, and I felt the bed tremble. I had never even heard of 'earthquake' at the time and was frightened that my bed had come alive! A few minutes later, Mom More...

Jim, they say bricks came off buildings in Soulard and come concrete fell from one of the Kingshighway bridges.
