Look closer, Keith!
Although, come to think of it... A party sounds good to me, too!

One of those 'It's a beautiful mornin'... and I feel groo-oo-oo-vy!' mornings, Keith?

My kingdom for an ''l''. Gotcha, one of those ''wait 5 minutes'' days.

I have been looking up the definition of the word 'nemesis' for a friend this morning. I was surprised at the differences of definition available on the Internet compared to my old hard-covered dictionary. Seems as if the word has evolved over time quite a bit. All are similar, but the Internet definition is much closer to what I thought it would be.

I miss my dictionary. The actual book.
Yes, I know the Internet is faster and more thorough, but I love my dictionary.

My friend (15 year younger, by the way) is not computer literate. She always calls me to look up things. Must mean she must not have a dictionary, either! Or... I'm easier to use than a dictionary!!!!

After 10 weeks, of yelling all day on certain days of the week, to bring me laundry and trash, and having to take away computer time, remote time and whatever else, my darlings love time, in order to get what I want done, they finally did it the first time, this morning. They were thrilled to have More...

Shiela, it is much easier to ask a friend, than to look it up.
I do it in here, because, I love the responses.

That should go in one of those ''what is it'' books.

My mom's typical answer to ''what is ..'' or ''how do you spell..'' questions was ''look it up''. I use that with Elijah and it doesn't work as well because he'd rather not know or take a guess.

Speaking of cats. I remember why my indoor cat became an inside/outside cat. Other than the fact she attacked my infant at the time. I still believe, the child should have gone outside, and the cat should have stayed. The cat was here first and the baby invaded her territory.
Anyway, the litter More...

I understood, that if I did not know what something was, that I should look it up. But, when I did not know how to spell a word, and was told to look it up, that has never made sense to me. Still doesn't. I do not know how to spell the word, how can I look it up? Did not even get any help, when I asked if the word started with a c or k or s or c. I was so traumatized.

Oh, I might miss my little darlings, next week. My youngest, just told the oldest, she is the best food preparer ever.
The eldest made them toast and covered them in marinara sauce, for breakfast.

everyone!

I came from a ''Look it up'' family, too. If I asked asked which letter started the word, I got, ''Sound it out. Try it each way''.
My kids got the same answer from me. We had a very dog-eared dictionary.

The kitchen re-model begins. We are having a new fridge delivered tomorrow. I have spent the morning cleaning out our storage room to make room for the old one. I'll be using it as an overflow fridge.

Thanks to two little kitties, I got my computer back and should keep it long while. Too bad someone left a pail of thousands of beads on the bed, where two little kitties were playing.

Kathy, Kathy, Kathy. Your vocabulary. Shame.
During our move, I realized we have a thousand platters, the majority of them are for Thanksgiving. I really do not see ever using half of them. There was attempt to thin them out, but what I wanted to keep and what Man wanted to keep, were two More...

I am having trouble getting rid of baby dishes, too. For some reason, both girls do not want to give up the divided baby plates, that they have not used, since they left the high chair, or the sippy cups.

In the classroom, we made word hunting, a lesson, which you got good marks for even attempting. When we came across a word, that we needed help with, with all got involved, in trying to spell the word, by sounding it out, then looking it up, then reading the definition and who could use the word in a sentence and who could use the word in the sentence, without using the actual word.

My grandmother's huge turkey platter is stored (snugly wrapped) on top of a cupboard in the laundry room. Poor thing hasn't seen the light of day for many years. I tend to use two platters as opposed to one that you can barely lift!

This past year, when we were in K's classroom, someone asked how to spell a word, I asked, where is the dictionary. The child responded, 'What is a dictionary?' That has traumatized me.
I looked at the teacher, and she said, 'we google.'
So sad.

Why do we keep them? I have Dad's, Mom's and Grandma's platters, plus platters that came from Man's grandmother, plus, whatever we accumulated throughout our years together. Lots of platters. I know mine are not sentimental, Man's might be, but it is a platter. And yes, way too big for a table full More...

Before Mom died, she asked all of us what we wanted, and I may have hurt her feelings, when I did not want anything. I told her I had enough stuff, why do I want more? I did ask for a ring, that no one knows where it is at, but I loved it as a child and wanted it as an adult, but not heart broken, that I do not have it.
