10 Minutes till the parade begins. I will have to work on the upload of pics from yesterday later. Meanwhile on my page I have a pic of the float taken just before judging yesterday. The float has a lot of animation going on - so watch the parade to see the animation.

Happy New Year! (or Happy Day After New Year! ... for those of you who see it first!) Awoke this morning to a Winter Wonderland! All the trees are covered with snow! We're taking photos instead of cleaning deep snow off the drive. Beautiful way to start the New Year!

To all sudokuland!

Wow, Kathy, you actually read this junk?
I never even open any of them.
Beside that information, I'd been proposed about 20 times to receive up to $20 million if I'll give them my bank information.
And had win every day main prize in some kind of lottery, that I've never applied to.

More snow expected in Maine today. I'm getting a bit tired of shoveling! Oh well, that's the price for living in this beautiful New England state.

Horror of horrors is happening today.
First, hubby turned the TV on first thing.
Second, Girlie-girl grabs her broom and starts sweeping. How to explain to an 18 month old you are not supposed to do things like that on the 1st day of the year is turning into a difficult task.
Third, and I More...

Best wishes for 2008. I agree with Fii that we need to take the best from traditional technology and get more of our power from wind, solar, etc. The last part of the movie "The 11th Hour" showed some great stuff happening with solar, wind, geothermal, etc--much of it in Oz. Saddest More...

Well there goes my quiet day at home! Just got a call and there seems to be a party developing with friends, it is going to be a day of comfy clothes, watching movies or playing cards, eating and drinking this afternoon! Back later tonight!

Karen - there are no set rules for displaying Christmas trees. Some people put their trees up right after Thanksgiving so they'll be up all through Advent, taking them down immediately after Christmas (as well they should, if they're real trees because by Christmas, they're real fire hazards!!!) Kathy Kathy Kathy! Stop what you are doing. Relax admire your tree that has been up for only a few short days.

Oh--Stay out of that room where food is prepared. That is so bad, very very bad.

Though I must confess, it now looks like I will be eating for the rest of the year. That is the darnest habit to get out of.

If I could just read Rayray's menus I could be perfectly happy, though pictures would be really cool to add.

Eve, sorry, but I didn't watch the parade. Saw the winning animation float on your page. Well done. As to the Stanley Cup, I'll wait to see it being paraded through the streets of Ottawa!

Jane/Karen:
When I put a tree up (like this year), I put it up about 10 days before Chriistmas and take it down after the 6th (Greek Orthodox Christmas and/or Epihany). However, the Boy Scouts will pick up the trees out front on the 5th (donation for pick-up) and they take them to Bio-mass More...

The girl and hubby are taking their morning nap and I am left to my own devices. Wonder what kind of mischief I can get into?

I am also taking down my tree today. We generally put it up the weekend before Christmas and take it down on New Year's Day. I'd better get back to work. Wait...hubby has lunch ready, will have to eat first.

I am so so sorry Kathy. My heart goes out to you.
