The answer to yesterday’s puzzle is ‘Gone With The Wind’.

Congratulations to Canuk Greg, Jamie, HalT, Peter, Zue, and Captain J. A gone with the wind gift basket is on the way. You can see it here

Today's Puzzle.

Word squares are grids of letters that cross horizontally and vertically. For example, in the word square below 'toy' is in the 1st row and 1st column, 'ore' is in the 2nd row and 2nd column and 'yes' is in the 3rd row and 3rd column.

TOY
ORE
YES

Oh goody. She can climb up on the chair as well.

Well, I looked up both names and they are somewhat similar, but from different religious cultures.

Actually, 'All Saint's Day', 'All Hallows' or 'All Souls Day' is all celebrated on the first day of November. In Mexican culture the 'Day of the Innocents' (for children) is on Nov 1st while the 'Day of the Dead' (for adults) is Nov 2nd. But holidays all are similar.
(Obviously, I was mixing up our two Sudoku days.)

I must get pay pal. I have never got pay pal because I buy so little on line and have never had a problem with paying by credit card. Oh well, I guess I didn't realize how much I enjoy coming here and hearing about life beyond Middle Earth. aka, Stewart Co.

Okay today's the day where I meet for the first time with the 5th graders who want to be in the citywide math competition. Well as their math coach, for most of these little critters I was their 3rd grade math/science teacher.

There's too many of them trying out so I have a math test to cull them out down to only 16.

I survived Halloween, but surprised a lot of kindergarten parents who thought I was just a grandma volunteer. All the teachers and my former students who spied me in the audience couldn't resist yelling, 'Hi, Mrs. D!!!' and clustered around me. Oh well there goes my anonymity.
