You're from Colorado if . . .You'll eat ice cream in the winter. (Doesn't everybody?)

When the weather report says it's going to be 55 degrees, you shave your legs and wear a skirt. (Providing you're a female.)

It snows 5 inches and you More...

Dorthea, I loved it. I've never been to Colorado, but I know what a Trust Fund Hippie is. Does that make me an honorary citizen?

I'm back home from the concert & now have caught up with the posts. I thank God, that I haven'at broken any legs, arms, etc. yet. As CG said, we get old like computers & have things replaced. I have a question for CG - what is it when they declare your hard drive dead - memory unaccessable. What is the equivalent status in life of the elderly.

I'll stop by and see what is happening at Jane's (from St. Simon's Island, GA) party.

You may all remember watching Wide World of Sports & the best & worse. Almost 10 years ago, my nephew was into extreme skiing and had made a nice run, so had the video running on the next run. More...

I can claim a bionic ankle after surgery following a car accident in 1974 (I was passenger).
BTW where are we travelling to when all of us with 'metal bits' pass through the security gate?

What do you collect?
I collect Ladies Powder and Mirror Compacts. I also have a passion for Amber jewellery, when finances allow.

GannieMo - I collect angels which I display only at Christmas time. I also collect open salts (also called salt cellars) with tiny little salt spoons. These were used before salt shakers became popular. Wherever I travel I try to find one in some antique shop to bring home with me, & because they are so small I can easily fit them in my suitcase.

Dorthea:
By all means borrow (I think you meant - rather than 'barrow'), some of my sheep - to organically mow your lawn. I'd better hand pick the good ones for that - some of them would leave no trace of a lawn at all. Also they would need to be airlifted from UK to CA of USA. Last time this More...

Kathy, I don't collect salts and spoons but do have one or two that I prefer on the table when we have friends round for dinner. So I know what you see in them. Do you use them or just look at them?
02/Jun/08 10:58 PM
 |  |

Rayray, it may be easier if Dorthea rolled up her turf and shipped that over to you. Do you have a side line business in selling what they 'produce'? I am told it makes a fantastic organic fertiliser!
02/Jun/08 11:01 PM
 |  |

Yes Grannie-Mo, I understand that the liquorice drops are marbellous fertiliser. One problem is that if you allow sheep to free range your garden there will be no plants left for the fertiliser to take effect. You need to collect the marbles with a dustpan and brush, like my grandmother used to do.
02/Jun/08 11:14 PM

Do you think my neighbours would think me a little strange if I were to follow sheep with my little blue dustpan and brush? And how many dustpans full would one need?

Hello All, 'puter problems tonight! Grrrr! Where is a 'puter geek when you need one. Still raining cats and dogs here, major flooding! took me 2hours to get home.

Rayray Yes I meant borrow not borrow. I used to use my girls friends goats, but the tend to eat the roses, instead of the grass. Oh well, maybe I can find a llama. (do they eat grass?)

Hello everyone, I too have been off-site for several months. I was spending too much time here and not getting anything done around the house, so I made myself stay away. Although I replaced sudoku with spider solitaire.....this is definitely more fun and fulfilling. Thanks to all who stopped by my page, I will write back to everyone soon!
