Here you are Heidi. Can you get the trifecta. I might add that I wouldn't have got any of them.

What are the next 3 letters in the following sequence?
J, F, M, A, M, J, J, A, __, __, __

Hope this is helpful.

Getting somewhat concerned about how my stocks have been
doing, I decided to call my stockbroker today and asked,
"what are you buying”?

His answer: "Canned goods and ammunition."

Thought maybe you all could use this information.

Hey Glinda, do you realize what contortions you could get by not reading too carefully? First missing reading I got my elbows in the inside of my opposite knees. Then realized you meant the outside, did that too. But in the meantime, I did look rather ridiculous.

Well finally changed my flight itinerary. Had to due Uncle Sam sending my son out on field work the entire time of my original schedule! That's an additional $150 per ticket for the change. Plus the additional cost of speaking to a person! The automatic recording drove me crazy... I enunciated More...

Back for lunch. Congratulations Heidi. I think I'll retire defeated. By the way, Artsplace's grandson ran second last night, beaten by a head and then protested unsuccessfully against the winner for interference.

Would have paid $55 for a $1 if he had won. Made no difference to me as I didn't back him.

Should have backed him to place or show, at those odds. I don't understand not putting at least a minimum bet on your own horse.

BTW... I did have a bet on Rachel Alexandra at the Preakness. Pity she didn't pay more.

I must admit I did have him running as the second leg of the Daily Double and it would have paid well had he won. I am really annoyed I didn't take the exacta (1st & 2nd) which paid $123 for $1.

A squad car driver was covering a quiet beat out in the sticks when he was amazed to find a former lieutenant on the police force covering the beat.

He stopped the car and asked, "Why, Mike, this wouldn't be your new beat out here in the sticks, would it?"

"That it More...

I am mentally working out what should be prepared for later today. So far having looked in the 'fridge it is going to be 'a bit of this, with a bit of that on it' - in other words a visit to the store is called for.

Doug, I very nearly visited Kalgoorlie. We crossed on the Indian Pacific and were supposed to take a trip there but an accident on the line or something held us up and we only stopped for a short while.

Back from stroll around the garden. Dead headed a few of the roses and found that Black Spot has reared its ugly head so treatment will be in order later today when it is not so hot. It is about 29°C at the moment with a nice breeze but the garden will be in full sun until sunset as we have a WSW facing garden. I will wait till after sunset to spray.

Amelia, just wipe a little rose oil on a light bulb in the same room as your computer. Light the lamp, go to my Flickr, sit back and watch the slide show. If this is accompanied by a glass of something cold and white all the better.
