, y'all! [Shiver] No comment needed for today's pic. Serena, I guess that's why 'snake in the grass' means someone sly & conniving.

Okay, what? I am busy today with seeing to some Friends of the Library business. The county has a big, truly big, Halloween Party coming up this weekend. The Friends set a booth to sign up children for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library
As President I undertake what others will not or can not.

GmaJackie, I'm a Scout from the 1970s, and a Scout leader for the last 9+ years. The organization has changed, but I still run an adventure troop. I wish my (teen) girls liked singing. At least SilverTeen gets random camp songs stuck in her head, so we both go off on tangents.

Kathy, I had intended to clean house today too. That is just not going to happen. Silvergal, I was a Girl Scout in the mid 50's. My mother was one of the leaders. I wish I had taken it seriously. I wish I had taken many of the advantages offered to me seriously. I didn't.

I have always enjoyed singing. At present my class I teach at church are all boys. They are not singers and I miss teaching them songs.
Other years the class was mostly girls and we sang! Oh yes, they enjoyed singing. They moved on into their teens but they still enjoy singing.

A snail creeps 9 feet up a wall during the daytime. After all the labor it does throughout the day, it stops to rest a while... but falls asleep!! The next morning it wakes up and discovers that it has slipped down 6 feet while sleeping.

If this happens every day, how many days will the More...

Happy Monday!
Sarah Beth: Hope things go smoothly at the surgical center for you

I was a Girl Scout in the mid-60's (we ran out of willing mothers to lead us by the time I was in 5th grade). Had a great time at Girl Scout camp--learning camp songs, making lanyards,...

I too was a Scout in the 60s and even early 70s. I was president of the Senior Scouts for the Lake Erie GS Council for 69/70 and they sent me to the National Girl Scout Convention in Seattle with the adult members of the council. My vacation to Seattle in June was my first time back there since then. i loved Scouting and was even a camp counselor for 2 summers.

Jane and Sacky - FYI, our 'little' walk to dinner and back on Sunday night was 3.7 miles (6 Km).
It's no wonder why we were still hungry when we got back to the hotel.
Not to mention exhausted.

A redneck's ode:

Outside my window,
An owl's soft hoot
At day's last glimmer,
It's time to shoot.

Not me, of course.

Oh Hal you crack me up! Thank you for the information. Jane and I had double Belgian gelato cones today and now I don't feel nearly as guilty! We also had a pumpkin Snickerdoodle, a Bear Paw and Cheese Grits and Blackened Shrimps. Another successful day I would say.🍷🍴

I've not been reading the comments for a while but I've done the jigsaws every now and then. Tomorrow I'm off to hospital for further surgery so I won't be on this page for a while--my mini iPad is too small for the jigsaws for my eyesight.

See you all sometime when I'm home (a week or two)

Saw some photos on FB of Hal and his lovely wife, Barbara, with Sacky and Jane. If it was that far to the restaurant, why didn't one of you drive?

Sacky - I think you might mean Bear Claw instead of Bear Paw. If it was a fried doughnut type bakery item, then it was probably a bear claw.
