G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:dignify — A way to make the hole you’re in look good. ...and here's today's factoid:A 2005 study by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis found that slim, tall and good-looking women tended to earn higher wages than their plain-Jane co-workers. 21/May/13 12:00 AM |  |

 Victoria Day 21/May/13 12:07 AM |  |
I did not know how to dress today, so I figured a red rose goes with everything. 21/May/13 12:08 AM |  |
For some reason, that looks like a commercial picture to me. Maybe someone here took it, but I'm doubting it. 21/May/13 12:09 AM |  |
Even looks nice with Vibrant Vici's flower. Now, off to run around Texas, hopefully with dignity.Never fear, I shall return. 21/May/13 12:10 AM |  |
When I was in high school, our band went up to Canada to take part in some Victoria Day event. What I remember most is that I spent a lot of time trying to find a souvenir. I wanted one that wasn't made in the US. 21/May/13 12:13 AM |  |
A whole lot of flower avatars in a row. Maybe I should change. I've never been one to go with the crowd. 21/May/13 12:15 AM |  |
 Dolly it is. 21/May/13 12:16 AM |  |
Oh, Serena, we could be a beautiful bouquet, today. 21/May/13 12:18 AM |  |
Good Maen to everyone. I hope all is well with you all! 21/May/13 12:21 AM |  |
 Or a lovely garden, Karen! 21/May/13 12:24 AM |  |
Is it just me and my computer, or do the rest of you get weirdly shaped/sized jigsaw pieces that won't fit in the frame when you put the pieces together? 21/May/13 12:29 AM |  |
Yesterday, my grandson said, 'Bye!' and waved to each animal ('Bye, Tiger!', 'Bye Zebra!', Bye Red Panda!' etc.) before going on to the next exhibit - all the way through the zoo! Melt my heart! 21/May/13 12:29 AM |  |
It happens to me occasionally, Linda. I haven't figured out why. 21/May/13 12:30 AM |  |
 Where's Keith? 21/May/13 12:31 AM |  |
 Hello, Keith! 21/May/13 12:31 AM |  |
 We're all abloom! Must be Springtime! 21/May/13 12:36 AM |  |
Linda, sometimes the puzzle is just sized wrong, I think. (But I always think it's their problem, not mine!) 21/May/13 12:36 AM |  |
 everyone!!! 21/May/13 12:36 AM |  |
everyone! Happy Victoria Day! Or, as the French would say, Fête de la Reine! I understand Victoria Day is unofficially the start of the summer season in Canada. Sort of like More... 21/May/13 12:40 AM |  |
Well it's still May so I'll keep my lily of the valley avatar. 21/May/13 12:41 AM |  |
No, no I'm going to hold on to spring to the bitter end in June! Right now is the season of flowers and balmy weather! 21/May/13 12:43 AM |  |
I couldn't get the jigsaw to fit, either. Happens quite frequently, actually. It does look like a professional photo. Has Gath run out of photos from Sudokuland? 21/May/13 12:44 AM |  |
 Happy Victoria Day, Canada! 21/May/13 12:44 AM |  |
Well, if we're doing Spring flowers today, how about a Black-eyed Susan from Maryland? It's our State flower. 21/May/13 12:51 AM |  |

Hi CG, Happy May Two-Four. And greetings to everybody else. 21/May/13 12:55 AM |  |
 Hello. 21/May/13 1:03 AM |  |
Happy Monday!Bittersweet last weekend--hubby's aunt's funeral on Saturday morning, then my 40th high school reunion that evening. The best part of both was re-connecting with people (cousins, aunts, uncles in AM, long-lost classmates in PM). Oh, and the food at both venues was good, too. 21/May/13 1:37 AM |  |
Aging ourselves, aren't we, Aileen!! We have a meeting next Friday to begin planning our 45th high school reunion next year!It has become very 'summery' in my part of the world. I sat out in the afternoon sun watching softball the last two days, and it was HOT!!! But it was worth it, my lady Aggies advanced to the final 16 - unfortunately, they now have to face the top-seeded team. 21/May/13 2:17 AM |  |
50th for me this year, jamie. Yup, old. Have you noticed the PM I sent you? 21/May/13 2:55 AM |  |
It is official. I am now a friendly squatter. Because of my wild imagination, and fears, I did some research, so I am a friendly squatter. Which is different from a squatter and a hostile squatter. 21/May/13 3:06 AM |  |
Our checking account, would be very happy, if I had remembered a deposit slip. Which I could deposit the check, if I had had Man's signature, but not having both, I could not do it.So, home to put away groceries, not much, mostly sandwich stuff, then to surprise my darling, with, yet another early pickup, then continue my trek around Texas. 21/May/13 3:09 AM |  |
