Week 5 of kitchen renovations ... another week without contractors = another week in which I can stay in my pajamas a bit longer in the morning! Still painting away, staining knobs and showering attention on our three cats who feel they're entitled to know what's going on downstairs.

I know what you mean Shiela - I'm trying to find a place in our yard for a vegetable garden, but it will be a big job to clear enough of a patch for a garden. I'm off to "plan" now - and dig up some ivy that's growing everywhere... I'll probably be feeling later today but happy for the chance to be outside...

Was watching Discovery last night and it was all about Australia, on Daly Planet. It was extremely interesting and well presented. Many of the site, I had seen on Ian's page or Anne and others. Like the Operah House, Sidney'harbour and much more. We also saw, solar boats, the animal hospital, etc...It will continue next week and will make sure to watch it.

I have some Dove Chocolate here for lunch.

I've just plastered myself with dove tanning lotion Eve, in preparation for my hols!

chocolate would probably have done the trick, but might have washed off in the pool!

as it is this tanning stuff is a bit on the sticky side!

Since I have to go out and fill my gas tank, on my errands this afternoon, I will wait till I get back for the wine - so just snacked on the Dove.

Good thing that I have plenty of wine on hand, won't be able to purchase much after filling the tank.

so Eve is going to fill up on gas - anyone else around to share the dove with?

and you live in the states, Eve - have you any idea how much gas costs this side of the pond?

It is hard to get a tan here, with it only being 45°F / 8°C.

we actually call it petrol but it still costs more than an arm and a leg, and almost as much as a bottle of dove tanning lotion, I can tell you!

We're getting there quickly.

well it's about 11°C here, but I'm going to hit 25°C on Friday and need some help otherwise I'll look like the proverbial Englishman on holiday after one day in the sun - like a lobster!

well maybe we could all start walking and do something good for the planet at the same time!
