Start the fast termite on the short stick and the slow termite on the long stick. When the fast termite has finished the short stick, 36 minutes will have elapsed (12 inches at 1 inch every three minutes). At this point, the long stick will More... 25/Jun/14 12:12 AM |  |
We have had a family of Robins nesting in a shrub next to our front steps for weeks. Momma & Papa Robin were very diligent at caring and protecting their brood from us. But sometime during the night last night another more dangerous predator than us left only feathers... a bit sad to see. 25/Jun/14 12:13 AM |  |
I want to join in. Hi John and Shiela. 25/Jun/14 12:13 AM |  |
That is sad. We have a bush in our front yard that has successfully housed a robin's nest each spring for several years. Last year they had 3 eggs instead of the usual 2 and the third one was really tiny and wasn't flying by the time it got booted out of the nest. We never saw the results but we are pretty sure it didn't make it. 25/Jun/14 12:15 AM |  |
Apparently I need to say hi to shosho as well for grabbing her spot. 25/Jun/14 12:16 AM |  |

My thought as well, Shiela. My guess is that nobody will know. 25/Jun/14 12:30 AM |  |
everyone! We had a robin build a nest in a planter on our porch. I could see into the nest from the kitchen window. There were 3 eggs and they hatched successfully. They got so big there was over crowding in the nest. One morning one was gone. The others finally flew off. I always wondered what happened to the third one. 25/Jun/14 12:34 AM |  |
What a timely discussion.... The letters below form words that are related to each other. Unscramble them, then find out what they have in common. 1. ntre2. srwcyosaa3. nodirnsi4. retge5. cnujo6. okpkaa7. liooer8. pnsxoe9. nhnlitgegia10. Mreuetrl Answers to my “Look! The only bird I'm aware of nesting in my yard is Scrub Jays. So far, I've never noticed the nest until after they've fledged. 25/Jun/14 12:41 AM |  |

Good morning people of the world. 25/Jun/14 1:12 AM |  |
You know for years, I have snickered at Shosho, when she talks about her cat nipping at her ankles. I am sorry. 25/Jun/14 1:15 AM |  |
I am too kind to run over you, Keith. Shiela, on the other hand....... 25/Jun/14 1:21 AM |  |
I really have my doubts, about surviving this week, watching over, this less pound, attack kitten. No toes or ankles are safe. I was never so happy, to have my girls wake, so my toes could be spared and the attack kitten, could go after fresh meat. 25/Jun/14 1:21 AM |  |
 Apparently ... 25/Jun/14 1:27 AM |  |
In the short period, that attack kitten has been here, many entertainments have been made for her. Pom poms on a string, bells on string, bells on pipe cleaners, a parachute thingy, string, bells, pen with a fuzzy thing, only entertain for mere seconds. The attack kitty goes for the toes. Those fresh, new teeth, just love to pounce, on unsuspecting toes. 25/Jun/14 1:28 AM |  |
fellow puzzlers, hope all is well in your world..... With Karen here abouts pages 2 and 3 will be looming soon!! 25/Jun/14 1:28 AM |  |
Karen, would shoes help solve the problems with the attack kitty? 25/Jun/14 1:30 AM |  |
Put some catnip in a sock and tie it off. Just throw it on the floor. Your feet should be safe (at least for awhile). 25/Jun/14 1:36 AM |  |
Shoes in the Summer, a novel idea. Thanks. I tried socks. Nope. Thankfully, fresh, young toes, have been occupying the attack kitty and enjoying a whole lot more, than my sensitive toes. 25/Jun/14 1:48 AM |  |
Oh, another toy idea, though, I have no catnip on hand. Betcha a bell in a sock will be fun. 25/Jun/14 1:50 AM |  |
MIL, said if we misplace her dog, just ring the door bell and we would be able to find her. Unfortunately, our door bell does not work like MIL's. She is an old dog, so not as rambunctious, as the attack kitty. She sleeps all the time, though when she gets up all she does is shake, until she takes over my chair.Which is not a good thing. 25/Jun/14 1:54 AM |  |
Been trying to get the girls out the door for the last 30 minutes, now they are ready, but I must do, what I must do. 25/Jun/14 1:56 AM |  |
Karen, do you have a laser pointer. Don't know if the cats like them, but I love teasing the cats. 25/Jun/14 1:56 AM |  |
