If all else has failed we have at least managed to discuss ourselves onto page 4. This is the first time for quite some days. I can remember a time when our discussions would fill pages.

We had a problem with this page becoming a chat page once before. Isn't that what the SA pages were born for? For those who like to chat. and the parents page for those who like to talk about nothing but children. Then there is the movie page and the recipe page. For myself I like to see an eclectic mix without one totally taking over.

Evening - will probably have an early night after my ordeal at work last evening, little sleep, an early start this morning, no breakfast or lunch, nor tea breaks during a very busy delivery suite shift today which saw me home 2 hours late......
C'mon, everyone go "Awwww..." with sympathy - and then, I know, build a bridge, CP - and get over it!!!!!

So Ian, what percentage of posts have you, me and Mo claimed today? Is it time for us to clear off?

If you are all very nice to me I promise not to give you a result by result description of my medical appointment this afternoon unless of course you insist on knowing the gory and less gory details.

We received a timetable for the works to be done on this house. Starting on Monday - here we assume they mean next Monday June 1st and finishing 31st October. Everyone could make a guess as what the actual dates will be. Nowhere on the agenda is the year mentioned and, being France, no'one will be here during the last 2 weeks of August.
What think you?

Or have you both moved on to a more interesting day?

GMo
I'm sure you'll be interested to know I'm sitting watching the harness racing on cable and haven't as yet backed a winner. Vichy will start soon, perhaps I'll have a collect there.

GMo, make sure your contractors understand 'this' June and 'this' October...

Thought for the Day:

It is a pleasure to read the comments today and to have an interesting topic to discuss. It is one that has done the rounds on several occasions but it is always a good debate. I've always enjoyed posting, for the main. I've posted the 'Thoughts for the Day' using More...

I've always seen myself as more like Jabba The Hut but I suppose on reflection he is an icon. I'm glad Rayray was talking about sarsparilla and not ginger beers.

I've never had a sarsaparilla (this spelling was given by my US spellchecker) but I like ginger beer especially if it is home made.

Andre, love your thoughts for the day. Love reading all the post although I do not participate that much (I do 'chat' a bit on SA where I think 'chat' is more suited.) I do enjoy all the serious discussions and the jokes and fun, Fiona's riddles, Ray's poems. Things and people change but let us keep enjoying being part of this site without being hurt or offended.
