Hugh, my thoughts are with you and your family. Living so far away from your granddaughter must be difficult. It may be a good idea to ask your own doctor about the things you don't understand, and who knows, with medical research moving at such a fast rate, her future may be brighter than currently thought. Hugh from Canberra - Thoughts and best wishes to you and your family and especially to Shikia. It is a good idea to find out as much as you can about her condition as knowledge is power. Past experience has shown me that my own GP is happy to discuss medical issues that are happening elsewhere in the family and they can give you a really good general knowledge of what is happening.

Dr Wright-some of the signs and symptoms are manifested in a paranoia ie every post is addressed personally to patient, increasing aggression and confusion, towards the end of the day.......

Children are very resilient and have amazing powers of recovery. May the family be guided by the specialists that are available to them and I am sure the very best care will be taken of your grandaughter. Medical break throughs occur all the time and lets hope one happens for your grandaughter.
