 So I can welcome page 2. 26/Sep/11 5:13 AM |  |
I have finished painting the closet. I may never get on a ladder again. The screaming you hear will be me trying to get out of bed tomorrow. Is half a bottle of ibuprofen too much, do you think? I always tell myself that I am not going to do much for Christmas. Then I take everything out and a sort of decoration explosion happens. 26/Sep/11 5:46 AM |  |

Beautiful fall day in Kansas. It can stay this way til Dec 21st! 26/Sep/11 6:03 AM |  |
I may take advantage of the weather and work a little outside this afternoon. but first, I will read the paper. 26/Sep/11 6:05 AM |  |
Since the Christmas decoration boxes are still in a corner of the living room, the decorating should not take that long. There have been words about the boxes still in the living room corner. In his defense, he did say something to the effect that all he would do is take them out to the shed and then turn around and bring them right back in. 26/Sep/11 6:08 AM |  |
He seems to use the same excuse about making the bed. Why make it when we are going to get right back into it tonight. 26/Sep/11 6:09 AM |  |
Jaime is the exact opposite. I believe he would try to make the bed while we were in it if he could figure out a way to do it. Yessiree, he is Mr. Clean. No doubt about it. 26/Sep/11 6:28 AM |  |
Now that I'm back from my bike ride, it's time to start working on dinner. But first I have to feed the neighbors' cats. I don't mind feeding the indoor ones - they're very sweet - but the outdoor kitty, "Hell Kitty" is his name, is not so nice. He's been declawed, but believe me there ain't nothing wrong with his teeth. And I have the puncture wounds on my leg to prove it. 26/Sep/11 6:33 AM |  |
Good Afternoon, all. It's a lovely day in WNC. The leaves are just starting to turn but the city folks have not yet started their mountain migration so peace and quiet reigns. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It's almost 5:00 pm here now, so it's time to wine and cheese. 26/Sep/11 6:42 AM |  |
I have made the bed while there was a lump still in it. Then dared him to mess the bed up, using my sweetest Texas tone. 26/Sep/11 6:54 AM |  |
We have finally gotten a respite from the rain. Hubby is out umpiring a couple of baseball games. He should be home soon, because the closet is painted. His timing is nothing if not timely. 26/Sep/11 6:55 AM |  |
2:02 Ah Cable Beach, nothing nicer than sipping a long cool (alcoholic of course) drink whilst watching the sunset on a balmy evening. Yes you do get to see a camel or two as well. 26/Sep/11 7:04 AM |  |
 Quick hello. 26/Sep/11 7:11 AM |  |
Off to my work study day soon. 26/Sep/11 7:12 AM |  |

I will allow Fiona to dream a little longer about her team in New Zealand 26/Sep/11 8:17 AM |  |
Awesome photo, Wendy, it still makes me go WOW!!!!!! 26/Sep/11 8:23 AM |  |
 A camel is a horse designed by a committee! 26/Sep/11 8:30 AM |  |
Grumblebum, have not heard you grumbly lately, is all alright in Grumpy Doo?You did not have any more of those chest have you? I have told you that is not allowed, no matter how much you grumble. 26/Sep/11 8:38 AM |  |
My family has returned and I could not push them out the door fast enough to go for their evening ride. MIL is getting her house leveled and Man is helping, which if he went to his mother's without the girls...well, let's just say it would not be a pretty site at either place, here or at my MIL's.The nice leveling company ended up having to redo MIL's plumbing system and a new relief room. 26/Sep/11 8:43 AM |  |
My nephew has been rightfully nicked named Farm Tractor. The child turns 2 this week and the party will be held again at the Antique Tractor Show and I bet you will never guess what his parents have bought for him.Yep, his 4th or 5th tractor, this one being shipped from one of the Dekotas. Puts the rinky-dink toy tractor we got him to shame. 26/Sep/11 8:48 AM |  |
In the post to Grumblebum, that should be grumbling, not grumbly. 26/Sep/11 8:49 AM |  |
I went outside and did some trimming around an old foundation. Gave the fruits of my labor to one of the cows. Now that I found some things, I can mow closer the next time. 26/Sep/11 8:56 AM |  |
 I'm fine now thank you, Karen. Can't grumble! 26/Sep/11 8:57 AM |  |
Stopped to visit with TM's cousin and his wife down the road. They will be hosting a relative from Sweden for three weeks, starting Thursday. He will be here for Hillingsfest, a traditional Swedish fall festival, in the small town near where we live. 26/Sep/11 8:59 AM |  |
Mr. Grumblebum, good to hear from you. Glad everything is going well! 26/Sep/11 8:59 AM |  |
I think I saw TM drive in. He has been working on a neighbor's driveway, smoothing it and grading it so that it drains. Last job will be to lay rock. He has his truck and two large toys down there. I will be called upon to help commute. 26/Sep/11 9:01 AM |  |
After that, I have to go into that room. Oh, and feed the cows. 26/Sep/11 9:02 AM |  |
 One more for a CP. 26/Sep/11 9:03 AM |  |
Sarah Beth, too bad you cannot just prepare one meal to feed TM and the cows. Or you cannot feed TM what you feed the cows. Personally I like oatmeal, but I am sure it is not the same. 26/Sep/11 9:11 AM |  |
Karen, problem. The cows are vegetarians. I have tried to serve a "meatless" meal to TM. That dog don't hunt! 26/Sep/11 9:45 AM |  |
I have thawed pork loin chops, they cook quickly. Nuke potatoes, heat veggie, and I'm done. Except for the dishes. 26/Sep/11 9:46 AM |  |
If you had the last joint of your fingers cut off, you would be the cat from hell also. That must always hurt. 26/Sep/11 9:55 AM |  |
I had a step-dad that it was meat and potatoes, every night. Wonder if that is why we eat so much chicken now? Man believes every meal should have a meat, but so far has not complained when a meatless meal has been prepared. 26/Sep/11 9:56 AM |  |
In reply to the rugby followers (Fiona), I would rate France's chances of winning the World Cup about equal to Australia's from here on in. With a loss to Ireland, half the team out with injuries, and the likelihood of playing New Zealand at home in a Quarter or Semi-Final, ..... almost nil!!!! But I am still holding out hope. 26/Sep/11 10:00 AM |  |
Oh, just 4 posts to go and my family is coming in. What to do? What to do? 26/Sep/11 10:04 AM |  |
You know what I am going to do. 26/Sep/11 10:04 AM |  |
 It is a no brainer. 26/Sep/11 10:05 AM |  |
Did you really think I would do anything else? That is like Man expecting me to prepare dinner tonight. Hehehe, silly Man. 26/Sep/11 10:05 AM |  |
