That is indeed a Highland cow. We saw them when we were in Scotland. Our guide told us, in all seriousness, ''It is pronounced, Heeland coo''. I asked him what the bulls were called. He said they didn't differentiate between the two. Hubby commented, ''I bet the coos do.''

Hi Doug,

I've got one of those labour-saving devices.

It's called a wife.

I've been following Kathy and Jane's adventures with great interest. I've got to admit that just reading about the trip exhausts me!

Linda, remember how apprehensive your family was about you meeting Ken and myself when you came to Sydney? That was before the days of getting all the Sudoku people together.

Ken had two hours of surgery yesterday while they worked at knocking bits off this 49mm (2 inch) stone lodged in his kidney. Apparently they broke up about 70% so he may only need two more visits instead of the expected five.

I remember the first time I met a fellow Sudokuist... It was with 'Debbie from MI'. We hugged each other the first we layed eyes on each other! Strangers, we Sudokuist are not!

Sunny and cold here too Shiela. Still, I'm glad I don't live on Canada's east coast. That area got hit with up to 50Cms of snow yesterday and last night!

Pierre, a brave French fighter pilot, takes his girlfriend Marie out for a pleasant little picnic by the River Seine. It’s a beautiful day, and love is in the air.

Marie leans over to Pierre and says ' Pierre, kiss me!' Our hero grabs a bottle of Merlot and splashes it on Marie's lips.' More...

My husband was shocked when I told him that Grasshopper and Mr Cee were coming to visit. He didn't understand about inviting ''strangers'' to stay with us. Then he met them. I think he's Mr Cee's biggest fan now. He's also nuts about Debby from MI and her hubby who visited. It's important to More...

Good morning everyone. Gentle rain here - the tail end of the rain Kathy and Jane have been experiencing. We may get 30cm if we are lucky, but nothing like what the mainlanders have been receiving.

I had X-rays last week to see if there is an obvious reason why my back is constantly aching. All it showed was that it has the wear and tear of someone 10-15 years younger. I'm a bit pleased with that, but no closer to it feeling better.
