I drive a Toyota Prius (hybrid) and get 4.6 litres per 100 kms - but don't ask me to convert that to miles per gallon. When we did the maths on our trip to Port Macquaire recently - we had done even better at 4.4 litres per 100 kms. Also, although it looks like a small/medium car, it is roomy inside.

I don't have a car at all

I got mine in July of '99, and Gil got his in '03. I finally got him away from his evil Ford (Fix or repair daily AND found on road dead).

We actually chatted the whole 5 minutes he was ding it. He got one tiny corner that was not completely asleep, a tiny sting, and I told him, if it does not get any worse I can stand that. he said, no need, I am done!

Certainly better than out truck which does 3.1kms per litre - at $1.79/litre, that works out to 60c per kilometer. So when the cost of chickens rise at the supermarket, don't blame us! Blame the Oil companies and the Supermarkets and the Government. And they say that chicken is the cheapest protein available.
