Ugh, Gremlins again. Reposting this:
And me? Well, I'm still plugging along. No jobs in my area and union workers have begun to strike. Another very large round of layoffs hit our area hard. I will just hunker down and ride it out. Luckily for me, we are used to being broke.

Take Care everyone! I have been trying to pop in more often!

Angie how wonderful for your grandma. Best wishes for her on her birthday.
I just recently, well in August, said good bye to my grandma, who did not go bar hopping was still very active up to the two weeks before she went away.

Crocs with socks! What is the world coming to?

Speaking of...Jamie, we went to a 4 year-olds birthday party this weekend. The age range was from recently joined the world to 12 years. There were some kids that scared me really bad. I feel so blessed being able to be with my children and More...

Jamie - For April Fool's Day I wanted a picture of a Plum Fool. I was inspired by appy's cooking dictionary. A fool is a dessert made with fruit pulp and something creamy blended together. I have a recipe to try/perfect that calls for custard and yogurt, cardamom and lemon with canned plums (none More...

Oh Jane, dear, I am not offended by your choice of crocs with socs. We do live in a free world--I think. Anyway, I do know that some people that are allowed to make choices, choose crocs with socs, I am living with one of those people. Have ever tried to change a two year olds mind, when she so proudly dresses herself? Would have better luck having world peace first.

Colo Jim, who needs to pay their taxes is all the filthy rich Republican Wall Street fat cats with off shore tax havens, though the rest of that idea was pretty right on.
Jamie, I think Gus looks pretty cool sideways. Everybody needs to lie down once in a while.
Congrats, Shiela.

After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, New York scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion, that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.

WISDOM OF A RETIREE

I've often been asked, "What do you old folks do now that you're retired?' Well..I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine.

And I'm pretty damn good at it, too!!

Republicans say the darndest things:

13. It may come as a shock to you who live out in the real world, but occasionally we do something up here. Not often, I admit, but sometimes. For example, I think the House has passed National Peach Month so far this year and we expect to act on it soon." --Senate Majority Leader (and Presidential candidate) Robert Dole of Kansas in 1982
