Dottie, my dad has a natural bypass as well. One of his arteries was 100% blocked, and another vessel took over. The body can be pretty amazing. 03/Jul/15 7:32 AM |  |
Keith, best of luck, keep us posted on when this procedure will be done. You've got a great outlook, and that'll help in the healing. 03/Jul/15 7:33 AM |  |
Dottie, by the second reading, I thought maybe I understood what you were describing. By the third, I was convinced I probably didn't, but it sounds intense, I've got that much for sure. 03/Jul/15 7:34 AM |  |
Thanks for the well wishes. 03/Jul/15 7:35 AM |  |
It is minus 5 degrees C (23 F) here in Canberra. Not low by Canadian standards but we rarely go much lower. Thanks Keith for the advice. It worked on my Mac and I have submitted one of your wombats. All the best with your health problems and congratulations on your attitude. A hopeful attitude increases the chances of a good outcome. 03/Jul/15 9:31 AM |  |
More than happy to help a fellow Wombat. 03/Jul/15 9:37 AM |  |
all! Officially it was -5 degrees C in Bathurst this morning - I measured -6, but we are close to the river, so often a degree or so cooler than the airport which is where the official temp is recorded. A sunny +6 now! 03/Jul/15 12:33 PM |  |
Keith - Yes, it was intense surgery and recovery. I was actually in the hospital longer than expected because my digestive system got disrupted as well...moving things out of the way and then putting them back. But I quit smoking about 5 hours before going to the hospital for the surgery and More... 03/Jul/15 1:42 PM |  |
I guess the best thing is it's behind you and you got through it. Quitting smoking is a huge added bonus. Quitting was the hardest thing I ever did. Unfortunately, I didn't do it nearly soon enough. The COPD will make me pay for that the rest of my life. Oh well. 03/Jul/15 2:24 PM |  |
