We have returned back to the Winter season, though a sweater will be good, maybe a light jacket. Well, unless you are outside for any length of time and if you are almost in the center of Texas.

Rudely awaken this morning 6 minutes before the alarm went off, to be informed Furry had lost her collar. Turned over, snuggled with my pillows, only to hear the announcement that the collar had been found. Then spent the next 10 minutes listening to a possessed kitty being held captive way too More...

I believe I put a slight dent in the task I have been procrastinating in doing all week. Really not a bad task, I just do not want to do it, very time consuming. I would rather play Solitaire.

Well, the Pampered Chef Freezer-Meal Workshop, was chaotic in the most fun way! Imagine around 9-10 women crowding into a kitchen prepping 6 full soup meals.

My friend brought a bottle of wine, and we enjoyed that along with food prep and conversations. Yes, wine and kitchen knives, choppers, hot stoves. Muahahahaha!

It was scheduled to go for 2 hours, but it went longer. After clean-up, a bowl of french onion soup and homemade cranberry bread, AND placing orders for cool kitchen gear, we finally left around 9:20. My hands still have a hint of garlic on them!

Hi all! How very very strange to come on and see that rather old photo of my daughter Carla on the puzzle! At least ten years have passed since it was taken so I have put a recent photo of her on my page so you can compare! She has grown up just a little!

Each statement describes two words that when fused together create a new unrelated word (not a compound word). The clues do not necessarily indicate in which order the two words are attached. Example: This is the average oldness of a tablet (pill + age = pillage).

1) This is a rodent that More...

Elijah is off at a school for the a whole day today. I think this is his first time being in a school building that long. We'll see what he thinks of it. He auditioned for the district middle school band and made it. Today they have a full day of practice and then tomorrow practice in the morning and the concert in the afternoon. We'll see what he thinks about it.

I finished a painting in my watercolor class yesterday. It was a painting that just seemed to 'paint itself'. Some paintings go that way - but not very often. Others are a complete struggle from the start. Most fall somewhere in between. This one turned out really nice. It's of a stone barn in the Uk with stone walls all in front of a hedge of tall trees.

CG - yes, I did see it and no, it will NOT happen in my class. That guy may SAY that he can't dance - I CAN'T!! I can't even sway or clap rhythmically.
Thanks for thinking of me, though.

I have some pictures of Fiona's family taken about four years ago. A cute pic of Carla is there after I taught the kids how to eat pizza with your fingers! I'm pretty sure I just heard the gasp of our European and Aussie friends over that!

You know, my American friends that they are aghast at the idea of eating their pizza and hamburgers with their fingers? Even Fiona's husband continued trying to eat his pizza with his flimsy plastic fork and knife! But when they finally broke, he discarded the utensils and ate his pizza with his fingers, too!

I even got Katitude and her husband to eat their hamburgers with their fingers! How barbaric!

I wasn't aware that there WAS another way to eat pizza but with one's fingers! We're such uncouth Americans .
31/Jan/15 5:07 AM

I was behaved with Dino though. Really we didn't eat any of those finger foods. Right, Aileen?!?

The exception is when a pizza is hot and the ingredients are falling off. I'll use a fork... until it cools off!
