Jill update.
She is feeding her little darling, then preparing to go home. She said 11 o'clock her time, which means she should be out the door now, but we were just on the phone. Oh, well, she and baby will be home soon. There are 3 more at home that have missed there mommy and cannot wait to have their new sibling.

Just did the puzzle. . . ahhh, . . my arms long to hold her!!!
Yesterday I held a friend's 3 week old baby girl. Held her long enough for her to have fallen asleep. Was I that comforting or just boring?

Kathy, I did not practice the first go around and the girl is prefect, especially when she is asleep.
If this is practice, which doctor says may cause discomfort, I want to go from this condition to having the child, without going through the birthing process. I am not rushing it, sort of.

Oh well, must go take my dad to the hospital for surgery, so I suppose I'll miss out on reading Jill's first post in a loooong while. Not to worry dad's only getting a hernia repair so it's not serious. But on Saturday, my day of rest. . . moan, groan. Oh well buck up and will be a nice little nursie.

Took a few days off to move my son out of the dorm and Jill has a baby, Karen is having Braxton Hicks...

Shosho, don't worry. If Jill is able to posts today I will be surprised. She has just spent two weeks away from her other little darlings, who miss her so much. Then she has to take care of hubby who had to take over while she was away. Then there is the adjustment of a new person in the house.
Whew, I am so glad I am planning on going to the mental ward.

Oh, I have a correction to my little jingle the other night. Do not worry, I will not sing again or at the moment. But I said that Jill was two weeks early, but she was actually 4 weeks early.

Karen, I keep wondering who Jill has to help out with the other children while she has been in & out of the hospital. Does she have mother(s?), friends, or other relatives available to take care of her other children?
Shosho, hope your dad's surgery goes well & quickly. I've said it before & I'll say it again - you are such a good daughter!

Kathy, Jill is blessed with a neighbor sent straight from heaven. Everyone should have a person like this in their life. Her MIL has been helping Jack for the last two weeks and her mother lives a small distant away, but is unable to help. She will not be alone until Monday.

Something I've often wondered....why do women have slight discomfort according to doctors and men have excrutiating pain?

GannieMo - just took a look at your new rose pics on Flickr. They are lovely. It's too bad only people who have Flickr accounts can leave comments on them (I didn't realize that for a long time!). I caught a glimpse of a very croc- like shoe - Jane will be impressed with your fine taste in footwear (as well as roses!).

Well, I am off. My couch misses me and looks so sad all alone, so I must go snuggle with it for a while.

I have purple/white marble effect too, and pale pink.

....and black which were supposed to be for special occasions but got used in the garden. My wet weather gardening clogs have strawberries all over them and I have red Hello Kitty boots.

The boots will be great for jumping into puddles but there has been no rain to speak of since I bought them

With doctors my excruciating pain is often relegated to "discomfort" - increasingly however a level of pain experienced by a patient can be diagnosed by physical indexes.

Reminds me of my doctor telling me..."You might feel a little 'pinch'" I suppose so, if "pinch" is the equivalent of ripping my knee cap off!

Or, "On a scale of one to ten, describe your pain"....oh, wait! I see you've fainted."

Or, while I'm up-chucking into the kidney shaped "spit dish" he's given me, "Are you experiencing any nausea?"
