And I am at this moment in pain and bliss as my oldest daughter is kneading and pressing and massaging the knot under my shoulder blade.

I, too, have just visited Mo's rose garden. Absolutely gorgeous!

Hi Jane - thanks; yes, it's going to be a bit of a laugh - I think I just might trade in my hotel for that cottage you are going to be sharing!!

Poor Plum,
I have just been through two weeks of agonising shoulder pain. I immediately know what it is like and can deeply empathise.

In France, moths are called night butterflies - so much nicer than 'moths' don't you think?

Are you feeling better now Rayray?

Jiminoregon: You're on the right track. In its simplest form, 'the exception proves the rule' because, if there is an exception, there must be a rule. The discussion can go on from there about the validity of the rule, or the number of exceptions, but neither changes the basic truth of the More...

Didn't realise there was an Aberdeen in Maryland, the 'original' being much closer to my origins!

Hi, Fiona:

There's also a Glasgow in the US states of Kentucky, Virginia, and Montana.

And while you're here, please be sure to visit Edinburgh, Minnesota.

For Eve, I posted this also on one of the moth pictures.
Eve, this is a cecropia moth. It is a giant silk moth. Check it out here at Wikipedia(a great place to find things): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyalophora_cecropia. I found one several years ago on my deck one summer night. They are incredible.

Hello again Sudokuland. Don't have time to go back to read the posts, but I think Karen informed you that Baby Michael was re-admitted to the hospital for jaundice. He is responding well to therapy and hopefully will be home tomorrow. Also found out that D1 (my 7 year old) broke her finger and More...

Childhood flashback: One year my brother kept 2 ceropia moth catepillars and they spun their cocoons and hatched for him. We didn't know what kind of catepillars they were until we IDed them when they hatched.

Eve, I once found a cacoon on a branch I had pruned. I hated to just pitch it, so I put it in my son's "insect cage" and a couple of weeks later out popped one of these! I thought it was going to be a butterfly. It was huge and gorgeous!

I agree Fiona, Night Butterflies is a much nicer name.

Thanks Rena - giant silk moth. I have florescent bulbs on the deck at night & moths are common place, even large ones. These photos were taken around 10:30 in the morning. I don't know how long he'd been napping.

Fiona, Aberdeen is about an hour's drive from my house.
Maryland cities also include Westminster, Manchester, Berlin, and Princess Anne. I'm sure there are more, but those come to mind.
We have Queen Anne's, Worcester and Prince George's counties. I live in P.G.

The towns surrounding us are Brighton, Chelsea, Manchester, Plymouth and Milan! Original around here, aren't we?
But then, we do have a Saline and Tecumseh, too! But I guess we even share Tecumseh with Greg!
And... we have a 'Proving Grounds' nearby! Small world!

Fiona, please Miss, can I be excused from today's homework as I have only seen 3 of those films

Jill, and Angela and Michael.
Quite a bit on your plate at the moment. You sure didn't get much rest before you had to hit the ground running! Motherhood is not for the weak.

Fiona:
Thanks for asking. I am feeling relatively better but not absolutely better. I still have twinges and aches, so I need to move around with caution.

Rayray, my doc. said something similar yesterday. He said if turning your head or looking up brings on the vertigo don't do it and if you have to do it don't do it fast.

I'm working on the songs, Fiona!

Mo you have no excuse, you are a granny!
04/Jun/09 2:25 AM

GMo: My doctor, however, says that too much caution is not good because the supportive vertebral muscles weaken though lack of exercise.

Interesting thinking about place names from Scotland which turn up in the States - there's a tiny village not far from where I lived, I don't know if you'd even call it a village actually, which went on to have a much bigger, much more famous namesake in the shape of Dallas, Texas!

everyone. I have been to check out the photos on Mo's & Eve's pages. Very interesting! I left comments with the photos.

Congrats to Sam Stosur for making it to the French Open semi-finals. I'm happy for her.

Fiona - the hot hot in France will help condition you for the hot hot hot in Florida!

Oops, just rechecked - fiona said hot hot hot in France so make that hot hot hot hot when you get to Florida!!!

Jill - sorry for your difficulties with d-1 & Michael, but thank goodness for the capabilities of modern medicine to correct their problems. Hang in there - you must be SO tired.

Jane, you being our resident food expert, have you ever had what we're having for tea tonight - something called Axoa, (ashoa)? It's Basque and very very nice!

Geez Fiona, I'm going to have to pass on todays riddle as well. Like Mo, most of those films you are asking about are ones I have not seen.
