Good mAen,
It's still super bowl sunday here and I'm watching the Puppy bowl III - half time show is coming up - last year - it was the kitty cat show. It's BRRRRRR still here - getting colder each day as the moon gets full.

3.00 - Going to be a hot one today. 38C.... My eldest son is starting 4YO kinder today. Very exciting for him but his little brother will miss him so. Hope there is not too many tears (from me!) Good day all

Today, I made some raisin bread toast. I toasted it any setting number 3, and it was just fine. I did not make any letters of the alphabet to put on it, but the raisins looked like the letter 'o', except for one which looked like a 'q'.
 |  |
HaHa!! Interesting case you both put forward at the end of your 4 February. Is the jury still out?
 |  |

Canuk Greg, you're in rare form. I'm afraid I resemble that. And AP remember that old song - And the cat came back the very next day...
 |  |
Kerrie,Your son will do just fine today. My son is 28,but I remember it like it was yesterday. It's alway's harder on the parent's.

Oh! How Cute. Are those bunny slippers?

Brrrrrrr. It is really cold here. 6 below 0 F. this morning. I am so thankful for my warm home.
 |  |

Morning all. Didn't sleep in as planned, got up early and went for big walk. Felt very proud of myself - until my chiropractor's office just rang to tell me I forgot my appointment!

To the jury... I'm hoping that the jury have come back and said that Col is guilty of all charges! And she will be punished and sent to the naughty corner for a very long time (Without the mini bar there!) :)

Glinda

as long as no one gives her purple zinc cream to use in the naughty corner!

HELP GUYS! I'd like loading a picture but its size is too big (in the 100Mb range instead the max 50 kb required). Could anyone tell me how to reduce it or a site where I could find the info? Thanks! And GO BEARS!!!

3:14 Very humid here in Sydney today. I hope everyone has a good one. I might go and make another slice of raisin toast - I've gotten a sudden craving for it.

I was under the impression it was a bed-time story. It all started with 'Once Upon A time' and thus should finish with '...and they all lived happily ever after. The End.'
 |  |

To Mamacita 2 - Thank you for your visit to my personl page. Please come anytime for your kindness warms me on such a cold day.

Glinda - I am not surprised that one raisin looked like a q. When chocolate covered raisins are mixed with chocolate covered peanuts I find it difficult to distinguish raisins from peanuts unless I eat them all.
I had rye bread toasted yesterday for my breakfast, I had a poached egg, bacon, More...

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, 'I'm tired, and it's
getting late. I think I'll go to bed'.

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.
Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took More...

For the 3rd day, school is out. The receding floodwaters are back after heavy weekend rain. I know we've had over 30 inches of rain in the past week, and then I read of bushfires and drought! Ingham is cut off, and water is either running through town or is very close to it. Guess there'll be no milk or bread again.
 |  |
Thanks Judith... you were right. Just did the kinder drop off & he could not get in there fast enough. Told me to go home!!!

Mel and Col - Mel, face it, Sophie is an artistic genius, Col unleashed her talents unknowingly (didn't you Col?). You should be proud that Sophie is so genetically advanced (thanks to you) and perhaps a little grateful to Col for her mentoring - she is an 'aunty' after all. chortle, snort.x

Kathy/Valrico, I was very sad to read about the family who lost their house in a tornado. Although of course surviving is the main thing, it's hard to imagine losing every single item you own. My sister's house caught fire (electrical) while she was at work. Although there wasn't a huge amount of More...

Susan/Ingham - It sounds pretty rough down your way. I can't imagine 30 inches of rain. I hope you and your family stay safe.

Deb/Brisbane - I can relate to your story. A mom's work is never done. Some days it seems like 'just one more thing' never ends.
 |  |
Susan,That's terrible about all the rain you're having.Hopefully it will clear up soon.
 |  |
Susan I heard on this morning's news about Ingham being cut off and had been hoping you still had internet connection with the world - good to know that you do, tho i am sorry about the bread and milk.
I can't imagine 30 inches of rain either. We are completely disabled by one! (tho we wouldnt complain if we got that right now)

Just received this message via email:

One Sunday, in counting the money in the weekly offering, the pastor of a small Florida church found a plain pink envelope containing $1000. It happened again the next week.

The following Sunday, he watched as the offering was
collected and More...

To the tune of “Beverley hillbillies”

Come and listen to a story about a Mel from Perth
A lovely lady, with a family and much flair
Then one day she thought with care
Lets visit Aunty Col I declare.

Victoria that is, sun, surf, Beaches!

Well the first thing you know More...

Susan/Inghan: Can you please give me a suggestion? Which TV station/network or newspaper could I get on line to read news of your area?

Lisa,My husband want's the Colt's to win.The colt's are starting to move the ball.

Hey Susan, watch out for crocs! There was a report in todays Melbourne paper (theage.com.au) that crocs have been flushed out by the floods. A 3.5m croc was spotted at the Cattle Creek road block south of Ingham yesterday. Stay safe
 |  |

Susan from Ingham - looks like the email is down at work. My email I sent from home hasn't arrived. Hopefully we will be up and operating when the boss arrives around midday.
Hubby has some great photos of Cairns under very heavy skies on Saturday and Sunday. He said it was pouring rain as he left about 10am yesterday.

Oh Dear, and they call us Poms whingers.....who is the one on this site who cannot give up here whingeing about daylight saving......Get Over It...life is too short!
 |  |
Congratulations to Karrie Webb, she did so well to win the Australian Open Golf.
 |  |

Sue from Perth, I think we all know who the 'one' is who is whingeing about daylight saving. It's me.
No, I don't particularly like it and I'm sure there are plenty of others who don't like it also. You refer to yourself as a whingeing Pom and you're from Perth, well, I must be a whingeing Pom from Albany.

I hope your health is improving and you are now on the mend.
 |  |
Judith/Michigan - I have to admit that I don't really care too much who wins the game...I just love to watch gridiron football. Truth be known (and I am sure to annoy most NFL fans) I actually prefer Canadian Football (CFL).

You are right though! We can't count the Colts out yet...especially since they are now in the lead!! 16-14. Looks like we have ourselves a game folks! :o)

As Harry Truman, that paragon of impartiality, said at the Army-Navy game, ''I hope they both lose.''
