I've been listening to the news & worrying for Win. I hope it's just no electricity for the silence.

The news seems to get only worse & worse for Win's country. It's unimaginable. We'll all hope for the best.

What is that bird? It looks fake, but then again, many real things do look strange.

Me again..... I just heard there may be 10,000 dead in Win's country, and over 3,000 missing.

We must keep all of those affected by the cyclone in our thoughts and prayers...there is much devastation there, and we most likely will not hear anything from Win in quite a while....however lets not let that deter us from keeping hope alive...miracles are prevalent in situations such as this.

I fully agree Mamacita. 1,000's of people have either lost their lives, homes and families or are missing, and we should be voicing our concern for all of them. The infrastructure in Myanmar is in total disarray, so their will be no word from Win or anyone else people care about for a long time. Just say a prayer for all of them, and thank the lord for those who survived.

This photo is one of Nal's, and in her Flickr collection she calls it a Crested Drake. Apparently there are several varieties of the duck, with colorations that mimic other ducks, including mallards. So, it's a real duckie!

Why not try the 'chat-room? You know - for ironing out 'problems'. Fund of information. I don't wonder the hens are 'away' when I post.

Hello everyone, I'm back! Have had broadband problems - self induced! Uploaded too many photos at the peak time. I have to do it before 12md! I've been doing jigsaws & sudokus but haven't been able to comment, it just took too long to load the pages each time! So I've a lot of catching up to do! have to go to tennis now!

Got home at 0930 - after spending 1 and a half hours with Mum. No surgery today, but the echocardiogram is definitely on today. Won't go into the nitty-gritty here, but shall we just say that Mum's medical team and the nurse-manager of her ward are now aware of my/our unhappiness with her management and nursing care.

Adding my thoughts and prayers for Win, her family and her countrymen. What more can I say that hasn't already been said so far. An awful catastrophe!

Suzy: You have a point there.
They would not harass me if I wasn't important.
I used to teach a kid who became a top British psychiatrist. He used to say I should be flattred by the harassment - for that reason. But I just find the harassment profoundly irritating.
