Good morning, everyone. Still warm, but not brutally hot.

only rain woke me this morning and not the sunlight streaming in. Have a good day - maybe a day at the movies. Mary

Chris, I've seen paintings that remind me of that picture, something about the framing, the angles and the lighting.

Morning all. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Catch you this afternoon after Church, or this evening at the Back Porch.

But is it art? Or is it Art's?

Jane, Nicki, too early in the morning for me. I can't seem to get the clever thoughts part of my brain functioning when I just awake. Will check in later when I'm fully operating!

I think of all the photos I have seen on here, today's is about the lamest LOL. Perhaps it is an attempt at art, but it looks more like an accidental opening of the shutter. As I heard a man say in a major art museum: 'Some pieces are real art, masterpieces. Other pieces, however, are merely paintings.'

Trying to figure out what the room might be used for. Is that a shower curtain? Is it a pantry? A mud room?

Good Sunday Maen, all!

Potluck after church today--gotta make sure I have all the fruit for the salad I'm bringing.
I love summer time with all the fresh fruit in season! Today's salad will be in a watermelon ''bowl'' filled with pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, green grapes, red grapes and watermelon chunks...

I do not think I had enough coffee this morning because I am not seeing what you are seeing, with the exception of Ian's comment.
I see an extrance room. Maybe some asking for ideas on how to make it more inviting.

The rain predicted for today has been removed from the forecast. Some rain would have been nice. It's getting dry here.

I've done this jigsaw before while wandering through the archives. Not terribly exciting, is it? I think Keith's correct, it has to do with lighting, angles and framing. Still not exciting, though

I'm guessing that this is one contributor that will never submit another picture! :)

Interesting picture: Door to nowhere?
Still very hot here, and no even prediction of a rain for another 3 months.

Informal poll... if the name of the photographer had been identified in the caption today, and identified as a regular, would the comments on the pic today be the same?
06/Aug/07 3:57 AM
 |  |

My comment would have been the same...
Don't think the photographer would take offense because I said the pic wasn't exciting, but about framing, angles and lighting. Just not my cup of tea. I guess others felt the same. This group is nothing if not honest!

Good afternoon to all! An different type of photo. One wonders what it might reflect, and what the photographer meant to convey. Is it an abstract, a work of light, color and angles, or simply a photo for a real estate package?
06/Aug/07 4:25 AM
 |  |

Well, having read the comments, seems like people panned this shot. Anne/Vermont, my comment remains the same. The photo meant something to someone, and I've seen worse pictures on the site. Live and let live!

Anne - You know we would have been diplomatic with our criticism! We would have said something like 'interesting', 'unusual' or 'different'. Or as Kathy said 'not my cup of tea'.

I had this song ready for Anzac Day in Australia, but there were so many dirrent versions on that day the I held it back. So today, for my Australian and Irish friends: the Clancy Brothers performing ''The Band Played Waltzing Matilda.''

dirrent = different.

Okay folks, from now on every photo with no comment on it must have been submitted by Jane!

I kind of like it. Makes me feel like I'm in my grandmothers farmhouse -- going out to collect the eggs in the morning. Hmmmmmmm -- and if it was in the winter -- Oh what a great sight to see the sun. Its all in the 'eyes of the beholder'.
