CG - Don't be cruel. I would never delete your messages to me because they're so ... wonderful. Yep, that's it. I'm just sure that the ones you send to Judy fail in comparison.

And, if I she deletes hers, mine go up in value. Right?

Plum - I'm glad to hear Little Plum is feeling better. And I hope YOU are, too.

Good for you and your fellow "care givers", Jane! You must get some fun in...or you'll wind up like Nurse Ratched here.
Plum - glad to hear the little plum is doing better.
OK - off to Margo's page to check out her pics!

Hmm, supporting membership wore out and I did not collapse, nor have my data vanish. Can I still post?
09/Oct/10 10:26 AM
 |  |

Yup. It was five years ago this month this site really took off for the first time. Postings went from simple "3:45" to show a personal time, to folks talking about what was happening in their lives.
I posted live updates about hurricane Wilma till the power went out and I had no 'puter.

Glenn, don't forget Rep. Hank Johnson, the clown who asked an Admiral about Guam 'capsizing' if more troops were added to one side of the island. Too bad we can't make them pass a test to qualify for a license to legislate.

Lurker's real identity!? This has had me puzzled for a while.
Clues - (from her own posts)
Is Australian
Must be a woman - does cooking and washing etc.
Has sons and is helping youngest buy a car.
Lives near the border of another state - not that common here in Australia - but More...

Glad to hear little Plum is not so Raggedy now. But will she feel well enough to make the party of the season? Morning, Cyn.

Shannon - that guy didn't ask that question about Guam, did he??
You're right about passing a test being a requirement. Shaking head in amazement here.....

No, Shannon, the party is going on without her. The party giver will treat her to a private sleep over as soon as is convenient, however.

You can't make this stuff up Cyn. It was taped as it was a Congressional hearing and I know the video was on you tube - just google 'Guam capsizing' or something like that and I'm sure it will come up

Bummer, Plum. I drove my mother up a wall as I always seemed to get sick or have accidents on the eve of an important event...I had to do my Confirmation stuff by myself in front of the church as I missed the Confirmation service. The Brownie/Cadet troop I was in would probably have kicked me out except that my mom was a very reliable volunteer.

I, on the other hand, am feeling very congested, have a headache, and my food is not settling well. I CAN'T get sick, because I have to travel 6 days this week to accompany my parents to a funeral. AND I have slacks to hem, shirts to iron, laundry to get caught up, packing, a hair appt., and ... More...

I had to look up where Lurker is from, as I had never heard of it. Amazing how pretty The Black Lagoon is ....but I'm good at keeping secrets. Good luck for your team CG, mine blew it last night

Just a quick congratulations to India, scoring their highest ever Gold Medal tally at Commonwealth Games. They are getting a lot of bad press over the running of games, at least their athletes are doing them proud.

Daddy tale
Dad and the Things spent the evening fishing. Or Thing II played in the mud, and Thing I threw rocks into the water. Dad did a lot of running from girl to girl and his fishing poles. Poor Thing II was brought back to the house. Thing I came running back to the house about 15 minutes More...

I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, 'Mom, that lady isn't wearing a seat belt!'

Does this sound like a few of the "ladies" on this site?
A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone. 'Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right now. She's hitting the bottle.'

A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in amazement and then asked, 'What's the matter, haven't you ever seen a little boy before?'

It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner, Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. 'Is that a dog you got back there?' he asked.
'It sure is,' I replied.
Puzzled, the boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he said, 'What'd he do?'

While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds. She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs. One day I found her staring at a pair of More...

While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt. Apparently, his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton More...

A little boy opened the big family Bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages.
'Mama, look what I found,' the boy called More...
