My son Marcus wishes to thank all of you who wished him a Happy Birthday! We just returned from dinner with him and the whole family at his favorite restaurant. I had sent all of your wishes on to him via e-mail. He was touched.

Thank you greatly for all of the birthday wishes. This one is one of those big milestone birthdays and it had me in a bit of a funk. Today (my actual birthday) was filled with some delightful surprises. Thank you again, it was lovely.and I really like the idea of tour 29 again.

We've all heard of sayings related to shooting like:
A shot in the dark.
To shoot yourself in the foot.
Shot with my own gun.
Just a lucky shot.

But what does 'A shot in the arm' relate to. I know what it means but what is it's origin?

Sounds drug related to me....any thoughts.
