Yesterday's riddle - well Kathy, Greg, Dorthea, Grasshopper, Peter, Captain J, Heidi, Bluey, lonewoof, Keith and Sarah Beth all combined to give me a full blown orchestra yesterday...I only wanted the flute as an answer! You know who you are and what instrument you were playing and whether you were right or wrong!

Here's today's MATH puzzle - you have been warned!
Greg and Joody are going to play a game.(No, not that sort of game). Greg explains, "You and I will take turns saying numbers. The first person will say a number between 1 and 10. Then the other person will say a number that is at least 1 More...

We ate waffles in Canada oozing with maple syrup - there was something very satisfying about licking your fingers at the end! The kids don't know that waffle machines exist - I will not be letting them in on that little secret or they will turn into little dumplings very quickly.

Just got back from the vet.
My 14-year old cat had a very strange episode last night. Maybe someone out there can help me figure out what might have been going on. Vet couldn't.
It lasted 7 hours. He went all over the house as if he was a bloodhound on a scent. He'd swing his head from side More...

Great to see you here, Danstell!
Oh Shiela - I'm so sorry about your kitty. I hope something turns up in the blood work-up that makes it treatable. Hoping it's nothing neurological. Kisses to your dear cat.

I'm stumped, Vici.
Something happened a couple of months ago to him where he couldn't walk and was panting profusely. We'd been gone for 12 hours and he was doing that when we came home. I don't know how long he'd been in that state, unfortunately. I'm wondering if it was a 'first episode' of a More...

Thanks, PennyStone.
(At least he's eaten and has gotten his insulin. Hopefully he'll come upstairs soon.)

Shiela - it's so tough with our pets...if they could only answer questions so we could get a better idea of what's going on. I live just an hour from UC Davis which has one of the top vet schools in the nation. If something were to be real difficult to diagnose, I would go down to the school to see if they might know as they tend to be on the cutting edge of vet medicine.

To put your mind's at rest, I have heard from Joody and she informs me she is still alive. In her own words: "In ... out ... in ... out ... in ... out ... No, that's not what you're thinking ... just proof of my breathing!"

Shiela, I hope you get a definitive answer to your kitty's problem. Fingers crossed that it is just low potassium, or, at least something that is manageable.

I am taking a break from hunting yard sale junk in the house, garage, shed. I have been doing this for over two weeks {us old folk are slow}. It does take time to go through every room and decide what I really want to keep or get rid of. I still have one closet to look through, that will be this More...

We have finally gotten a break in the rain. I am off to run some last minute errands, hopefully before it starts again!

I bought one of those Oyser things at Fry's. The door closes better than my old $39.00 one, and it has unchipped racks and things. I bought a new stove three years ago, and have used the oven twice for turkeys, but I can't get anything out of it, so the toaster gets a lot of use. (too hot , too heavy)
