To Steve and Pat

Hi guys, it is a little bit strange that the complexity of a puzzle is decided based upon complexity of a proof. Though the two are related the relationship is not one-to-one. I don't know how but complexity of the puzzle must be defined by its initial grid. Could it be defined by initial number of candidates in each cell?

Hi all.

Very easy this time. I just happened to start with the key.

Start at 22 filled, easy placements to 25. If f2/3=6, then f6=2, f6=5, f9=8;d4=6, so e4/5/6=1, e7=8 which is not possible. Therefore f6 must be 6. Easy placements to the end. Sorry I don't know the correct notation.

Hello all,

Having had the option of BBQ and shiraz last night, I returned tonight to yesterday's puzzle to expand my proof. Just needed to show that it might be long winded but it is logical. Enjoy your week.

proving, very easily, that a 3 is ot an acceptable candidate in a pair containing it,the solution unfolds straightfirward!

I just saw the news that Steve Irwin had been killed off of the coast of Cairns. What a huge loss to Austalia and the world. He was a vibrant and vocal environmentalist and so much fun to watch. Sympathy and prayers to his family.
