everyone,regarding the z we always called it zed until Sesame Street came on our TV's and our grandchildren told us its called zee.Who are we to argue if its on TV it must be true.

Well, I don't believe I'm getting old and fat. I believe I am developing powerful muscles that enable me to sit for long periods of time with out tiring!

In truth, Shiela, I haven't measured myself in years. And since they say we shrink as we get older, I may find myself eye-to-eye with you any day now!!!!

Our grandchildren, who might pick up the 'zee' from Sesame Street are soon corrected by teachers at school, I've noticed.

Most kids learned the song from Sesame Street (when I was younger) and so sang zee, but used zed the rest of the time. We all seemed to be aware it was the American pronunication and only appropriate when rhyming the song.... My kids, on the other hand are American, and we take both pronunications for granted so I have no idea what they say... I'll have to check

I think I will become a "none" [than I would have lots of birthdays.] My Zs are zeds.

Did anyone guess From's riddle yet? It was very appropriate to us....

Caribbean is a word that is pronouns differently in the U.S.A. to what it is in Oz.

For the first one the only thing I can think of is a planter, but that only partially makes sense....

Lots of words are eaa... Gets very confusing... Because we use both, our kids are easily recognisable as American even though they have been in Oz more than half their lives...

Examples, tomato, water, harbour, bath....
