Great day for the grand-twins 5th birthday party! This year it's on Austyn's birthday. Last year it was on Gwendolyn's birthday. Yep! They were born on different days!

Brief, interesting point-of-discussion yesterday! I am embarrassed and humbled to find out that the entire World does not base its seasons upon the equinoxes and solstices, as the U.S. does! Those are called Astronomical Seasons. Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries of More...

You're welcome, June! And thanks for reminding we Americans that the World does not revolve around us! I've always lamented that many of you will never see our beloved Dippers (Ursa Major and Ursa Minor), and many of us in the Northern Hemisphere will never view the Southern Cross ... but this is important, too!

Good mAen, good people. I had a good birthday. Low key. Lots of online companionship, a few phone calls from family and board games with Burl, Faun and Skye to round out the evening.

I know 2 seasons. The ones I despise during which I must wear a coat and the glorious days when I am not cold.

I hadn't intended to suggest 'everyone' as in everyone meet up in Australia in 2018, but I wouldn't at all mind the company so long as I had a place to lay my weary bones.
I merely divulged my hope that there may come a time when I can accompany Burl on his travels and maybe even take the girls with us too!

It's neither warm enough nor dry enough to garden today. Cue the sad face:

I ought to decide I want to eat out at an Indian restaurant since Burl is begging to be able to take me out for a birthday date, but I'm not really in a mood for restaurant dining right now. I'd rather work More...

The rain held off for the yard sale this morning. I am definitely not a ''morning person'', but was there at 7 AM to set up. I grabbed a really nice kid's desk and chair for $10. It flips up to reveal cubbies for storage. That sucker was More...
