Good Maen, good people. I just went back and found that Fiona had posted a MATH POOZLE!!!

I hope I can get the answer to her before she gets here ...

Woo-hoo. Made it! If homeschooling has changed my life in any way it is that I now love math when once I hated it.

Is that photo a dig at women retaining water?

Shiela, couldn't you have kept it warmer until Monday for my dad's sake? 60s for highs and 40s for lows is like winter for us Floridians. Packing my coat for a June wedding in Holly.

Sorry, Jeanine! It was way too hot for this time of year up here in the North Country. They hit almost an all-time high temp at the Indy 500 this year!

I'd settle for low 80s or even upper 70s.

It was in the low 70s here overnight and you guys aren't even going to get to 70 today.

My photo today, repeated from a few months back when it appeared with a proper caption attached.

I found this sign slightly back from the edge of Niagara Falls on the Canadian Side. The wording is a vast understatement! There was no safety rail, just a slight (downslope) embankment with More...

HI all! I posted yesterday, but it disappeared into cyberspace...the math puzzle answer was 160 I believe, if I remember rightly, and answers came in from Colo Jim, Jane, Peter and Mr Cee. I should probably add Plum to the list of winners but I can't check as the inbox is clamped shut!

Here's today's one which should keep you busy thinking and me busy correcting! Answers to the "beautiful month of June" inbox please!

Remove a letter from each of the words below and rearrange the remaining letters to form new words. The 10 words will all fall into a certain More...

I think that puzzle is complicated - let me help a little - you are looking for recipe instructions!

Jeanine - getting the photo you're speaking about would have forced me to get MUCH closer to the Falls than was advisable! The shrubby growth hid the view. You'll have to just trust me on this one or go investigate yourself!

Thank you, Fiona. Yes, 160 was the answer I sent you, along with the note that there were 35 students.

I got the first 7 right away. I'll have to ponder the last 3 for awhile.....

Gee, did I miss the math poozle? What a shame.

I am leaving early Monday for a tour of Mt. Rushmore, the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Could someone take over my poozle duties on the weekends starting tomorrow? Perhaps Hal has recovered enough from last time?
I'll be back on the 12th.
Lots to do before Monday!

But Sheila, I need summer! I'm spending the weekend in the "great outdoors" (fortunately a cottage, not a tent) and the weather forecast says rain and temps in the low 60's.

all from beautiful So. Oregon - where we are forcasted to get into the 90's today, then back down to the 70's by weekend.

We have been in the low 70's till yesterday hitting the 80's. So yes sunglasses are recommended for today & no umbrellas at hand.

Kathy - I've been making reservation for my trip to a family reunion in SD, and decided to take a drive over to Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands & the new Crazy Horse Monument. I'll be putting on a few miles on the Rental Car (Fargo, ND airport) since the drive from the reunion to that area is about 9 hours each direction.
