 G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:legend — the toesAnd here's today's factoid:Toenails and fingernails grow faster during hot weather, pregnancy and teenage years. So,if you're a pregnant teenager in mid summer, you'd be better off wearing open-toed shoes. 10/Jan/14 12:00 AM |  |
A Thought For The Day: NASA would be a lot more popular if once in a while they'd fight some Klingons. 10/Jan/14 12:00 AM |  |
 all. 10/Jan/14 12:01 AM |  |
No response???? Gee, this crowd must love their Klingons. 10/Jan/14 12:07 AM |  |
Doug W, I shall use your thought for today as a somewhat indirect inspiration for tomorrow's factoid. Stay tuned. 10/Jan/14 12:11 AM |  |
Kayo - I don't think there will be many fast growing toe nails in the northern hemisphere at the moment. Maybe some frost bitten ones ..... 10/Jan/14 12:11 AM |  |
Good morning people of the world. 10/Jan/14 12:21 AM |  |
Kayo, your factoid, is true, but you know how I love to prove everything wrong. I don't mean too. I have beautiful, long nails, except when I was pregnant. On purpose, I do not recall teenage years, and since I was a good girl, I do know, I was not pregnant. Even though I can prove the theory, of how to get pregnant wrong, too. :) 10/Jan/14 12:25 AM |  |
 There you go, Shosho. 10/Jan/14 12:26 AM |  |
Since, it seems, scanning over conversation, is becoming my norm, lately, I have had some good chuckles. Thank you. 10/Jan/14 12:27 AM |  |
One was the phone conversation. BTW, I have a dumb phone.Anyway, on that day, a cousin-in-law, posted a tale. She thinks she maybe loosing it. On the phone with her mother, one afternoon, she realized, one of her 4 children, was supposed to be a some type of practice. Staying on the phone, More... 10/Jan/14 12:31 AM |  |
Then a good, shaking head up and down, chuckle at Serena, when she was faced with being the mother and letting her children be children. Yes, my dear friend, I know, that feeling so well. Have you never heard any of Mommy Tales, and the begging of valium? 10/Jan/14 12:33 AM |  |
Good morning to all! This girl looks like she is mad because she couldn't stay awake. 10/Jan/14 12:34 AM |  |
Kayo and Doug, don't you realize that here in the north we keep our toenails long in the winter for a better grip when walking on the ice. 10/Jan/14 12:35 AM |  |
Karen, I know the years are flying by but please dont tell me we are up for Christmas again 10/Jan/14 12:38 AM |  |
...and making it harder for pedicurists to earn a living, eh? 10/Jan/14 12:39 AM |  |
Why am I still up at this hour when I have things to do in bed? Good night 10/Jan/14 12:41 AM |  |
Speaking of Mommy Tales. How in the world, do you house bound people survive, especially with little people about, when the weather permits, no outside time.I need outside time, either for myself, or for my darlings. Monday and Tuesday's, teen tempts, yes that is cold for me, were More... 10/Jan/14 12:45 AM |  |
Wednesday, night put my darlings to bed at 8:30, at 12:00, I am telling my youngest to get into bed and stay there. I go off and do my before bed routine and I hear noises, which I thought were coming from the vents, saying my little darling is playing in her closet. So off to her room I go, only More... 10/Jan/14 12:53 AM |  |
Oh, Wednesday, I could not send the girl out, because, even though it was not cold, it was raining.Today's plan, girl will get up, before 9. Whether she wants to or not. Since, it is still a heavy misty day, we are going out and run some errands. The girl needs fresh air to her head and lots of it. Might turn the heater up in the car, and ride with the windows down. 10/Jan/14 12:55 AM |  |
Very bright out there today! Finally! A reason why my toenails are so short! (My short toes have nothing to do with it, I suppose!) 10/Jan/14 12:57 AM |  |

Can you people remember the video game 'Breakout'? I played that many a time. Well, thanks to those good folks at Google, we can all do it again for old times sake. Copy this across to your web browser and then get your mouse ready to intercept the bouncing ball. More... 10/Jan/14 12:57 AM |  |
(Hello, Keith! Just tripped over my short toes right into it... Honest!) 10/Jan/14 12:58 AM |  |
Lizzy, don't you miss all the decorations? :/ Actually, the tree is for me. I am doing everything possible, not to put up our holiday decorations. This year is not as simple as putting it back in the box. No, this year, I need to go through and repack, boxes from before children, after More... 10/Jan/14 1:02 AM |  |
OK, it looks like it is not a good thing, for me to stay quiet, for any length of time. Seems, I tend to ramble on. Yes, I am still doing it. Avoiding those boxes. It is explainable, we just spent the last 17 months, packing, moving, and unpacking boxes. 10/Jan/14 1:06 AM |  |
But this backs up my New Year's theory, of taking something out on NYD. My repacking, is not just reorganizing, it is getting rid of. Really, how many Christmas stockings do I need? I think, last count I had 6, red and white, stockings, with my name on it. Man, had two. I did not find any for the girls. 10/Jan/14 1:09 AM |  |
 You are in luck.My coffee cup is empty. :( 10/Jan/14 1:10 AM |  |
We dont do Christmas decorations at our house, ever since my sister passed away (she was very much into decorating, sending cards, baking you name it)Christmas has sort of lost its sparkle (pardon the pun) We go and visit other family and they arent so mean, besides they are the ones with the small boys (aged 5 to 1) who are absolutely intrigued with everything Christmas (and Santa) 10/Jan/14 1:23 AM |  |
I can't tell if she's asleep or awake. All 3 of my kids sleep with their eyes partially open. It's one of the few traits I can say came from me. 10/Jan/14 1:31 AM |  |

I confess. I'm not in the mood to test out a logic puzzle or riddle to see if it makes sense, so try this instead. Fill in the middle word. This word should correspond with the first and last word. 1) Red ________________ Bulb2) Green ______________ Leaf3) Blue More... 10/Jan/14 1:37 AM |  |
Little boy is back in preschool today for the first day since the week of Christmas. They had the 2 weeks for the holidays and then an in service week for the preschool teachers. It seems silly because he only goes Tuesday - Thursday so it is a one day week. But, he was very excited about it and told me he is going to do some important stuff today. 10/Jan/14 1:43 AM |  |
Little girl is working on the potty thing. She gets the idea that she should sit on the potty to relieve herself. Not so clear about the fact that she should remove other barriers first. 10/Jan/14 1:47 AM |  |
 An with that cp, I'm outta here. 10/Jan/14 1:47 AM |  |
Copying Serena's lead on the Avatar ... for as long as they last. Some days when I log in about the same time as I did today, I've still got a shot at my #, but it was long gone today. Busy morning. 10/Jan/14 2:25 AM |  |
