After the emery board/stiletto event, Fiona? Still the same, sadly, but someone is coming in about an hour to see if there's a cure for it ... complication is that there's electric heating under the floor so smashing out tiles just might cause a larger problem. We'll see. Meanwhile, there's wine chilling in the fridge for dinner--gosh, I seem to say that a lot!

Broni - pulled pork is a pork roast that's been slow-cooked over charcoal for several hours. Then when it's taken off the grill, you use two forks to pull the meat apart. I have a recipe in the cookbook. It is delish!!!

About yesterday's ? rescue horse... In my local area, the price of hay has gone "through the roof". Coupled with the poor economy, many people have to "make choices" I have friends whith rural property that regularly have "new" horses appear in their pasture(s) overnight, with never an explanation...

Hello everyone! Husband was working from home again yesterday so didn't get on to sudoku at all! But I did get a BIG grocery shop done in the afternoon. Just as well because we have a few people coming for lunch Up-the River on Saturday! I'll be packing it up later & we're going up this evening so I can get bread baking etc!

Mama - it really is slow - looks like about a half hour since you posted.
I just finished a review session with 40 kids in the room this afternoon - another one at 7:00. They are great kids, though.

I suppose everybody's gone now, but Judy, yes, I have more than just wine in the fridge--there's some wilted asparagus and some questionable milk. Now aren't you glad you asked?
And Greg, of course we'll rescue Dave--I'll make it my mission to make him feel warm and ... oh, heck, the rest isn't any of your business.

Cathy, soak the asparagus in some wine to refresh it and make a nice cream sauce with the questionable milk. Hell, men know how to make do. I usually add moldy cheese to the cream sauce but you appear to have run out of that.

And here was I just a few days ago telling someone on the site I don't discuss my dinner/supper/tea plans on the site. Guess I lied.
