I was puzzling about your question about RAF.
Then I remembered that I mentioned that my lamp came from RAF. No. I bought the lamp at a car-boot-sale and the vendor explained its origin to me. It was in bad condition when I bought it for a low price, but I restored it

I have just remembered, too (since my last post - sorry about cereal posting!), that that very lamp is a feature of the centre of the collage picture (named by coincidence "Me! I Guess!") in my gallery. It is an item on my desk there.
Anyway; good morning Jaspal! and thanks for getting my memory in working order.

mAen all! Today 13.00h there was a big quake (M7.8) mid-ocean between Fiji and New Zealand. At 17.40 today the New Moon matures so the quake conforms to my theory about big quakes co-incidening with the New and Full moon phases. Today's quake is the largest one worldwide since those in Peru and Benkulu.

We have had so much rain already this winter, I think I would need waders to even venture onto parts of our golf course today, not that they let me.

Hi Kate.

Rayray, sorry i didn't explain the background to the question but it did serve as a good test !! Your memory is not only in working order it is working with after-burner on !!

At first count we have Amelia, Angie and GrannieMo as golfers !!! Angie I love the game and I am not really good at it. Thats the beauty of this game.

I have played golf Jaspar, but I was not so good and kept losing balls. I lost more than I found and felt that was unfair! By a fluke once I came within a couple of centimetres of a hole in one. That was my one moment of golf glory - do near misses count?

Rayray, golf does test ones patience but the idea is to carry on. Its like marriage, you do have difference of opinions but idea is to adjust and enjoy!! Once I nearly threw my golf bag with all the clubs into the lake in the golf course but then next day I was there again AND smiling when I got a More...

Good Maen, everyone! Boy, you don't check in to the site for one evening and look what you miss! Hope this whole "CPing" business cools down. First of all, CPing doesn't hurt anyone. it might be annoying to some, but so what? Just skip over it. Restricting us free members to 10 posts More...

Is excessive CPing called CPage?
If U C P you should always skip over it.
K9P is the worst kind of P for C-ing.

A golfer on a local Yorkshire golf-course got 'a birdie' in a different sense. The ball he drove from the tee hit and killed a sparrow in full flight. The unluckiest sparrow on earth.

Poor bird! It's a good thing Humphrey Bogart wasn't flying over that course that day. Would've given new meaning to the word "bogey".

That reminds me of one time an insurance company had to pay out to a Japanese boat owner. The boat was sunk by a cow that dropped from the sky. At first the Insurance company didn't believe the captain's story. But it was discovered that the cow had indeed been jettisoned there; the reason being More...

Wish I liked to golf. We have many lovely golf courses here. I might be tempted to take up the game if they let you walk the course, but you have to rent a cart. So I'll just stick to my tennis I guess. Got a match this afternoon, and the weather is ideal - mid 70s and lots of sunshine. More...

Oh dear! I am in danger of becoming a cereal poster. Is a cereal poster an advertisment for corn-flakes? And - does the name Humfrey given to someone who sings quietly to himself all the time, or does it mean he is someone who takes frequent baths so he doesn't smell?
